Final: Nationals 7, Royals 3
For the first time in seven years, the Nationals are three games over .500. Dylan Crews hit a three-run blast to seal it. They did it.
Record: 38-35
The Washington Nationals' record for runs in a regular season is 873 in 2019.
The 2026 Nats are on pace for 872 runs.
What the Nats are doing with their new, analytics-based process, improved coaching and promising young players is one of the best stories in MLB.

Miles Mikolas was just pulled after 54 pitches. Had been dealing.
Blake Butera yanked him to bring in LHP Mitchell Parker to face two lefties. I like the idea of playing matchups.
But Parker is a downgrade. I don’t get why they act like he is a shutdown guy. I hated going to him there.
Starter cruising. You going to get a quality lefty? Cool. To just go get any lefty ain’t it.
