My cancellation today was in response to a dismantling that had already happened. And it did not, in fact, feel good. It was heartbreaking for a kid whose life was changed when he watched All the President’s Men at age 11.

I understand the anger at Jeff Bezos and the Washington Post for its endorsement decision, but cancelling your subscription means less revenue to pay all the Post's reporters. Do what you gotta do but Bezos won't feel it in his pocket while some great journalists might.

@DeRushaJ I met him once and very briefly in the lobby of the MPLS Club years ago. Two days later an envelope arrived at my office. Inside was a handwritten note from John and a Monte Carlo gift certificate. I was floored that he even remembered my name. Hospitality personified. #RIP
