Trans people - especially Black and Brown folks, are disproportionately at risk of being victimized by hate crimes, higher suicide rates, poverty, and state violence. We see it every single day.

The focus should be on protecting them, not capitulating to reactionary nonsense.

[Jordan Thompson @jormthompson]

All this clout chasing just to be praised by the worst Republicans NH has to offer. None of this helps the <3,500 people you were elected to represent in Concord.

Trans women are women, and you’re not taking the “principled stance” by punching down against the most vulnerable.

[Jonah Orion Wheeler @jonahowheeler]

Last Thursday, I gave a speech on the House floor in favor of legislation to enable sports, and other spaces, in certain instances, to separate based on sex. Leading up to HB148, I heard from many women who felt as though their privacy, and voice had been overlooked and unheard.

[Jordan Thompson @jormthompson]

I don’t regret defending Jonah from the racism/mistreatment he’s experienced in the past, but the man I once knew and invited to speak at BLM events was one of good moral character, not the moral inconsistency he exudes today. I hope it’s worth the clicks & retweets, or whatever.

I’m honored to have the support of Nashua Alderwoman-At-Large Gloria Timmons. Gloria has dedicated her career to public service and I’m grateful for her trust. #NHPolitics

Proud to join fellow KDH alumni in endorsing Vice President Harris to be the next President of the United States.

Kamala has spent her entire career working #ForThePeople, and now she’s ready to prosecute the case against Donald Trump and his radical Project 2025 agenda.

[Rachel Palermo @RachelEPalermo]

Thrilled to share that ~300 former staff (and counting!) of Vice President @KamalaHarris — from across her career — are proud to endorse her for President of the United States.

Democrats: these people will never be impressed by your pious show of bipartisanly throwing trans people under the bus of moral panic. They will always demand another sacrifice.

Medical decisions should be made by doctors and families, period. Not by you.

[Alissandra Murray @alissandra4mht]

I knew being a trans legislator wouldn’t be easy, but I learned today just how hard it could be. Listening to my colleagues debate my humanity and my rights, and to have people I thought were my friends vote against them. Words can’t describe the pain of betrayal like this.

This thread will be dedicated to the victims of the mass shooting in Buffalo.

This is Ruth Whitfield, 86. Her son, the former Buffalo Fire Commissioner, said she was on her way from visiting her husband in a nursing home and stopped at the store to get something to eat.

[Leah Feiger @LeahFeiger]

In light of the draft of a leaked majority Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v Wade, I want to call your attention to the people that would be impacted most by the end of legalized abortion across the United States. 🧵:

John was an #NHPolitics legend. Keeping his colleagues and loved ones in my prayers this evening.

[Adam Sexton @AdamSextonWMUR]

It is with a heavy heart we at @WMUR9 report the passing of our friend & colleague John DiStaso. Old-school, relentless & always first to report — we’ve lost a truly legendary figure in the world of political journalism. Rest In Peace, John. #NHPolitics #FITN #WMUR

Accountability is love in action. #NHPolitics

[Asma Elhuni @asmaelhuni]

Lets be clear : no apology was made yet. What was received was a another defense of racist actions , sprinkled with words like sorry. The least you can do is learn how to apologize even when
faking… #NHPOLITICS

[Adam Sexton @AdamSextonWMUR]

New tonight: BIPOC organizers reject @RepNicoleK’s apology. #NHPolitics

[Jordan Thompson @jormthompson]

This is the liberal version of “woke mobs” and “cancel culture” btw.

Fully grown adults (and elected state representatives at that!) don’t want to take responsibility for their actions, so they’re gaslighting their constituents instead.

How hard is it to just apologize and go?

[Jordan Thompson @jormthompson]

I’ve grown very exhausted of this “actually, we’re the victims!” mentality from white Democrats.

You are not being abused. You are not being targeted. Words mean things. All of this has become a distraction from the Black teenager who actually was targeted by Rep. Klein-Knight.

[Jordan Thompson @jormthompson]

“In light of Rep. Klein-Knight’s recent behavior and continued refusal to participate in mediation, both of which contradict our core principles and values, we rescind our endorsements.”

Thank you, @RightsNH. #NHPolitics

[Rights & Democracy @RightsNH]

"In light of State Rep. Nicole Klein-Knight’s recent behavior, we stand in solidarity with BIPOC progressive leaders in their condemnation of her derogatory, racist remarks and actions against a Black activist."

Someone who holds such hostility and contempt for Black people should not be employed in emergency services.

How many BIPOC in Milford have been mistreated or not taken seriously by this 911 dispatcher who clearly does not value their lives?

Watching NH politics absolutely implode should make it clear no help is coming from state power.
We can organize our communities.
We can feed, clothe, house, care for our communities.
We can, we must do it together.
