Kamala Harris is a forceful advocate for reproductive rights — building on her career of fighting for the health, safety, and wellbeing of women.
I spoke to @jimsciutto about why the VP is so dedicated to the issue, and how FL’s 6-week ban is extreme and harms women’s health.
Rachel Palermo ’21 J.D. didn’t wait for graduation to begin both building her career and shaping national politics. As a 3L at Notre Dame Law School, she volunteered with the Biden–Harris Transition Team and joined the administration on Inauguration Day 2021 as assistant press secretary to Vice President Kamala Harris. She took daily communications calls after her Evidence class, finished her final semester remotely, and moved to Washington that spring.
She soon rose to serve a dual role as deputy communications director and associate counsel, where she advised the vice president on messaging, while also focusing on ethics and oversight. She later served on the 2024 Harris–Walz Transition Team.
Today, Rachel draws on her legal and communications background at Jenner & Block to counsel her clients through congressional inquiries, other sensitive investigations, and crisis response. Read her story in the Notre Dame Lawyer magazine here: https://t.co/TbkD6LfULD
This campaign is a sprint, and there’s no doubt the polls are tight.
The Vice President is fighting for the American people — and she is traveling to battleground states across the country to share her vision and outline what is at stake.
Today I joined @CNN and spoke to @sarasidnerCNN about Vice President Kamala Harris’s incredible performance at the presidential debate. The Vice President shared her vision of moving our country forward, laid out her strong record, and drew a stark contrast with Donald Trump.
Joined @sarasidnerCNN and discussed that when Roe was overturned, abortion rights were attacked, and privacy rights were weakened across the board — which is why we’ve seen IVF in jeopardy.
VP Harris is fighting to protect the right to decide when and how to grow your family.
A week ago tonight, I spoke with BBC's @SumiSomaskanda at the DNC right before Vice President Harris took the stage to accept the Democratic nomination for President. We spoke about what to expect from the VP’s remarks & how she has approached her historic presidential campaign.
Vice President Harris often talks about how she is grounded by the words she spoke every day in the courtroom: “Kamala Harris, for the people.”
I loved joining BBC’s @SumiSomaskanda at the DNC to discuss how Harris is putting forth a vision of fighting for the American people.
There’s a lot of talk about the debate, but here’s what’s important: voters deserve to see VP Harris & Donald Trump on a debate stage laying out their visions for this country. The contrast will be clear: Harris is fighting for the American people, and Trump is in it for himself.
Joined @CNN to discuss how the number of former Trump aides who have spoken out against him — citing concerns about his character, loyalty, and approach to power — speaks volumes.
Vice President Harris wants building the middle class to be a defining goal of her presidency.
I spoke to @ItsAlexOnTV and @RobNelsonTV about how VP Harris and President Biden have been focused on lowering health care costs, and Harris intends to build on that progress.
