@georgeboyd14 @TechConnectify The new stuff is only deployed in about 5-10% of the town so far, but the incumbent provider is already being more generous in offering retainment offers. However, their offer is still worse than the new fiber promo price, by a significant amount.

@TechConnectify My town had only one high-speed provider (cable) for decades. Then, in the past 6 months, we have 3 providers announced (2 already installing) fiber-to-the-home. The trigger seemed to be the city council announcing a non-binding agreement to bring in one of them.
