We are supposed to believe that AI is some genius conscious technology, when it can't even reliably cite cases in the closed universe of legal opinions. It's really actually quite bad. It's fine for certain rote tasks, or perhaps to provide broad context. But it is otherwise unreliable and junk.
@inarchus@SebGarcha@YousefMunayyer It's presumptuous for her to believe that Jews must align themselves with Israel, and that's a key problem of Zionism. This persistent belief that Jews must be Zionists, and also that Jews who are not are somehow not Jewish.
@aliner I was recently at the Philadelphia Free Library and picked a book of Ezra Pound's letters off the shelf and discovered that he hated The Atlantic as much as I do. These are things you cannot learn by AI.
I am a lawyer, so not a member of the working class. When I talk about wanting a working class politics, what I mean is a politics that is chiefly centered and takes as its key point the support of the working class (which would also be supportive of me because that's about 90 percent of what I personally and individually want.
When bourgeois people hear "working class politics" they think gauche or uncooth or (if they're being racist about it, black or brown), and so they think it has a dirty or unkempt quality to it. I assume what that's part of what they turn their noses up at. When Marxists are talking about working class politics, they are talking about democratic control of the means of production and private property (though not personal property - no one's coming for your toothbrush, or your means of transportation, or your abode), and the simultaneous generally equal distribution of material goods to all of us, with some people getting a little more because they suffer from ailments or conditions that require that, and so forth.
I want a different world. I'm happy that @BootsRiley is in my world and makes great movies. But I want a working class politics that drives the production of working class culture that talks about real things. I don't want Boots to be the ONLY or one of the few producers, as good as he is.
@MarkAmesExiled The fact of the matter is that the IDF is dishing out absolutely tremendous amount of punishment. So while it's all well and good that Hezbollah can take out one or two tanks, where's the evidence that this at all is stopping the Israelis?
