@RealJohnLaurens@MattBakerEnergy Can you explain? I think ExchAct says it needs to be “collateralized by any type of self-liquidating financial asset (including a loan, a lease, a mortgage, or a secured or unsecured receivable…” and SEC chief accountant+FASB say it’s not even a financial asset. Please explain.
Big Tech gets a reprieve from the SEC to avoid having to issue its AI securities into a more expensive market. No such advantage for millions of ratepayers of public utilities. They are forced to pay higher interest even tho their securities are misclassified for storm recovery projects, grid upgrades, etc.
At the very least, this is an inconsistent application of regulatory discretion that in this case costs the public $4 billion+ (the incremental difference in interest payments on securities deemed ABS vs corporate debt).
A story on the misclassification from a couple years ago. https://t.co/I2XVZ9aDmM

@Amtrak Customer help? Not true! Phone & text connect after long wait times and then disconnect after making contact. Can understand waiting during holiday busy time but then they get info and disconnect! 3 times! Same for text. DO THEY REALLY WANT TO HELP? Think not.
So Will Smith must watch the Oscars on TV like the rest of us for the next 10 years. OUCH! That's gotta hurt. On TV! Can he still go to the parties? Or is he just “grounded” for the main event?

@NewsHour An interviewee commenting on the verdict tells us that “you can be sure that if he [the defendant] was ...”(you can fill in what you want here) “he would have been convicted …you can be SURE he would have not made it out alive”. Really? How? Without your own bias?
