@KintsugiJin The Power of Every Day Missionaries by Clay Christensen and its accompanying website changed the way I did missionary work. We applied the principles in Austin,TX and experienced explosive growth.
@grok In another conversation I asked you this: Nathan Apffel claims that the Church wants to build a 133,000 acre city. Is that true?

No, Nathan Apffel's claim is not accurate. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (through Farmland Reserve, Inc.) is not planning to "build a 133,000-acre city."
Clarify for me what the answer is.

Our lessons are now based off of the needs of anonymous surveys from the Elders, Elders sit in circles to discuss issues, and teachers are prepared with discussion questions for each group. Is still working in progress.
@NC97420@sola_chad As a Latter-day Saint I love this verse. If false angels exist, so do real angels. I have found the Church of Jesus Christ to bring me closer to Christ than any other institution I have explored.
She's not serving the devil. She's not serving a false Christ. And her religion is not false. I applaud her committment. Like many others, I have found the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to be Christ's gospel. Come learn more about it at a church near you: https://t.co/j792YxN4RY

Dear Joseph:
Thank you for taking the time to contact me regarding the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act. As your senator, it is important that I hear from you.
I appreciate hearing your support for S.128, the SAVE Act. This legislation was introduced by Senator Lee and has been introduced to the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration. If enacted, it would require individuals to provide a proof of citizenship to register and vote in federal elections. Proofs of citizenship include: US passport, birth certificate, military identification card that shows place of birth, or any government issued photo-identification showing place of birth. A driverโs license or social security card would not be considered under this legislation. It also requires individuals to register to vote in person to a verified election official unless they are disabled.
I agree with you that it is important to make sure that our country's elections occur without fraud. I support requiring voter identification because I believe that every fraudulent vote dilutes the votes of legitimate voters. However, Article I and II of the U.S. Constitution leaves states the primary responsibility for creating and enacting election laws. As a result, state laws vary in what identification they require from voters on Election Day beyond the minimum federal requirement. In fact, Iowa has a strong voter identification requirement. I am confident that Iowa's election process ensures both integrity and accuracy.
I will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind should this legislation come to the Senate floor for a vote.
I encourage you to contact Paul Pate, Iowaโs Secretary of State. As the chief election officer of the state, the Secretary of State of Iowa is able to answer questions regarding current voting processes in Iowa and is responsible for the application, operation, and implementation of election law, except for those pertaining to campaign finance. He can be contacted by writing to Paul Pate, Iowa Secretary of State, Iowa Statehouse, Des Moines, IA 50319.
I have also heard from several Iowans regarding the voting privileges of illegal immigrants. Only United States citizens can legally vote in federal elections. Non-citizens voting in federal elections are subject to fines, imprisonment, and or deportation. However, a state or locality can grant non-citizens voting privileges in state or local elections. Currently, no states allow non-citizens to vote in a state election, while only some localities have afforded the right to vote to non-citizens in local elections.
In March of 2025, President Trump signed an executive order giving the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services' needed upgrades to this program so that all states can utilize the program to avoid any noncitizen from voting in a federal election. Under the order, states have access to the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements SAVE Program, an online services for federal, state and local governments to verify the immigration status and citizenship status of applicants seeking specific benefits or licenses.
On December 8, 2025, I took to the Senate floor to praise President Trump and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for making improvements to their voter verification system and giving states access to this program. You can view my speech by going to https://t.co/paqlsWUS3L.
I understand that many Americans have concerns about our nation's election integrity. As your senator, you can rest assured that I will continue to work in the Senate to improve election integrity and will keep your thoughts in mind going forward.
Thank you again for contacting me, and I encourage you to keep in touch.
Sincerely,
Chuck Grassley
United States Senator
@themagaking Itโs becoming apparent that @LeaderJohnThune has a puppet master that he fears more than the masses, Trump, or the best interests of the country.
@LeaderJohnThune , are you recognizing that the responses to your posts from @ScottPresler are getting more attention than your original posts? This disparity shows that whatever demographic you are trying address on the X platform doesnโt care about your posts. You are appearing compromised now more than being apathetic.
I'm convinced @LeaderJohnThune isn't interested in a wake up call. I'm convinced he has puppet masters that he fears more than Trump, the people, or even losing his job. His underwhelming posts on X amid a storm of backlash for his inaction is more than a lack of empathy or laziness, it's fear.
I think itโs time to recognize that @LeaderJohnThune may have some puppet master that he fears more than Trump or the American people, along with other members of congress. His deliberate silence on such a critical issue while he pedals social media posts of little consequence is more than apathy.
