8 Years, One Big Leap 🚀

Eight years ago, I was a student with a passion for cybersecurity, great curiosity, and a desire to build something meaningful.

Today I’m stepping into the role of CEO, and this moment means everything.

We launched @hackenclub from pure passion and a big vision to make the digital world safer. At the darkest times, we joke that the “all guts, no brains” motto helps us to fail and start again. What began as a bold idea grew into a global cybersecurity company protecting the foundations of Web3 and beyond.

Since then, I’ve done it all: from jumping on client calls at 2 a.m., gathering the first ethical hackers for our bug bounty platform, building teams, launching products, handling crises, traveling the world… and learning. Always learning.

To my cofounder @buda_kyiv, who is now Chairman of the HAI Group, thank you. Your belief, partnership, and integrity shaped the foundation of this company. I wouldn't be here without you and your trust in me from the very first day.

From a student with big dreams, to now leading one of the most respected cybersecurity companies in Web3 — I’m proud, grateful, and more driven than ever.

Together, we turned Hacken into a provider that delivers enterprise-level security for the entire decentralized stack and meets modern regulatory requirements. Thanks to our deep Web3 expertise, we understand what the landscape needs right now, and lead it steadily towards a safer future. Today marks eight years since Hacken was founded, and I could not be more proud of what we have built together. We are no longer a startup. Hacken is now a global brand, trusted by the world’s leading blockchain projects, regulators, and enterprises.

1️⃣ A New Era for Hacken

For eight years, we have evolved alongside this industry. We have exposed bad actors, set standards, and proven that vision backed by action can change the world.

2️⃣ Hacken Federation Network
To accelerate Hacken’s global expansion, we are making one of the most significant structural changes in our history:
Yevheniia Broshevan, Hacken Co-Founder and Chief Business Development Officer, is stepping into the role of CEO of Hacken.

If you’ve worked with Hacken, you already know @jerh17. She is the reason we secured many of our biggest clients. She has been at the heart of our growth since the very first brainstorm in 2017. Beyond that, Yev is a cybersecurity expert with 12 years of experience, including a deep and growing interest in AI security. She has the trust of the team, the respect of our partners, and a clear and steady vision for what Hacken should be. I cannot imagine a better person to lead this company forward.

3️⃣ My New Role: Building HAI Group

We are creating a completely new corporate structure – the first of its kind in crypto.

It will be called HAI Group, structured as a Crypto IPO-ready holding company. HAI Group will own part of Hacken Services and all of our industry-grade products.

Design for scale, fundraising and IPO

🔹 We will tokenize the holding company itself – a model never done before in crypto.
🔹 This security token will give HAI holders direct access to the growth and success of the entire Hacken ecosystem, uniting all B2B and B2C utilities in one instrument.
🔹 We will spin out major products as independent legal entities, giving their teams ownership stakes and the ability to raise capital directly.
🔹 HAI Group will remain the major shareholder, aligning everyone behind the same long-term vision.
What This Means
▫️ Hacken will be laser-focused on scaling as a global cybersecurity leader, led by Yev and regional CEOs.
▫️ We will build a Hacken Federation Network of independent partner-led firms in North America, MENA, Europe, and beyond. Think Deloitte’s global scaling model, but with HAI as the security token at its core.
▫️ @HackenProof will become an independent entity, unlocking its full fundraising potential and innovation capacity.
▫️ HAI Group will hold part of Hacken and all of our products, giving B2B and B2C stakeholders access to its success through a security token.
4️⃣ My Focus
As a co-founder and major shareholder, I take the non-executive role of Hacken Chairman as well as CEO of HAI Group. My goal is to build a network of independent entities under HAI Group, designed for tokenization, fundraising, and going public.
I will also play a big role in a new product we’ve envisioned for years but never had the space to fully bring to life. It will stand at the intersection of DeFi, insurance, fintech, and AI, built on the foundation of https://t.co/0eGvnYic0a, TrustArmy, and hAI app. This will be a product the entire industry will come to rely on.
I will share more in due time. But know this: it is going to change how security, risk, and trust operate in Web3.

A Safer Future for $HAI: Infrastructure Rebuilt from the Ground Up

Following last week’s incident, we’ve been working to turn a difficult lesson into lasting change.

Today, we’re sharing the results: a full rebuild of the $HAI token infrastructure, designed for long-term safety, transparency, and scale.

Let’s break down what it means for holders, why we chose OFT, and how it all works.

🔹 Unified Supply. Real Ownership.
With OFT:

• One token
• Unified supply
• Every EVM chain

▫️ You hold the token, not a replica.
▫️ $HAI moves natively across ETH, BSC, Base, … – using secure LZ protocols.
▫️ No custom bridges. No wrapped liabilities or unsolicited minting.
▫️ Future-ready: just plug in new chains

You can still go back to VeChain and back via SafeSwap, the only bridge we keep.

🔹 One Bridge Only.
▫️ VeChain → stays native (used on CEXes, etc.)
▫️ EVM Chains → new OFT version on ETH, BSC, Base, …
▫️ SafeSwap → the only allowed route: VeChain ⇄ Base

Custom bridges are now off the table.
This separation gives us reliability, maintainability, speed, and most importantly, security.

🔹 Security Hardening = Non-Negotiable
New contract stack is hardened top to bottom:
▫️ Multi-Sig only (Gnosis Safe)
▫️ Pausable
▫️ Blacklist support
▫️ Upgradeable (OpenZeppelin Proxy Pattern)
▫️ Extractor integration for full-spectrum monitoring
▫️ No custom minting or bridging logic

🔹 Snapshot Taken
To protect real holders, we captured everything before the incident:

ETH Block: 22747526
Timestamp: Jun 20, 18:40 UTC

$HAI tokens that users had locked in Flash Pools (HackPot) on Base, as well as the SafeSwap bridge transactions to Base, will be included.

> All addresses linked to bots, exploiters, or suspicious activity have been excluded.
> Any transactions made during or after the incident are void.

This snapshot is final. Legitimate users will be restored 1:1.

🔹 Manual Claim Process (ETH & BSC)
You’ll claim new $HAI via hAI App upon OFT release.
All balances are encoded in a Merkle tree from the snapshot.
Just prove it, sign it, claim it.

Claim window: 6 months. After that, tokens are locked.

🔹 What about Base?
Some old mechanics trapped some $HAI in pools on Base.
We're actively working on a resolution, but it won’t affect migration or security.
We will update on this soon.

Güvenlik alanında faaliyet gösteren bir proje olarak bu durum ironik görünebilir. İşte bu yüzden, şeffaflık ve hızlı aksiyon bizim için hayati.

Bu mesajla sizlere ne olduğunu, neden olduğunu ve nasıl çözüme gittiğimizi dürüstçe açıklamak istiyoruz.

1️⃣ Ne Oldu ve Neden Oldu?

Zincir en zayıf halkası kadar güçlüdür derler.
Bizim zayıf halkamız, yıllar önce köprü altyapısında kullanılan eski bir özel anahtar oldu. Bu anahtar, kapatılmış olduğunu düşündüğümüz bir DigitalOcean sunucusunda unutulmuş ve sonunda yetkisiz erişime maruz kalmıştır.

Ne kadar etkilendik?

Toplamda 900 milyon $HAI token üretildi, ancak saldırgan yalnızca yaklaşık 170.000 dolarlık likiditeyi boşaltabildi.

Bu nasıl oldu?

Bu özel anahtar, eski köprü mimarisine aitti.
Zaten bu yapının multi-sig cüzdanlara ve daha güçlü anahtar yönetimine geçmesi gerekiyordu ve bu sürece başlamıştık. Ama içsel öncelikler nedeniyle süreç gecikti.
Bu tamamen bizim hatamız.
“Önce güvenlik” felsefesini savunduk ama bu kez uygulamada geri kaldık.

2️⃣ Acil Müdahale Adımlarımız

Olayı fark eder etmez hemen şu adımları attık:

▫️ Yetkilerin iptali ve saldırının durdurulması
Saldırıya sebep olan yetkileri aktif sahibimiz olan Owner cüzdan ile iptal ettik.
Böylece izinsiz mint işlemleri durduruldu.
Ayrıca Ethereum, BNB Chain ve Base üzerindeki köprü işlemleri durdurularak saldırı yolları kapatıldı.

▫️ Zayıf sistemin devre dışı bırakılması
DigitalOcean üzerindeki eski sunucu tamamen kapatıldı.
Tüm dosyalar incelendi ve başka hassas veri bulunmadığı teyit edildi.

▫️ Anahtarların yenilenmesi ve sistemin güçlendirilmesi
Tüm özel anahtarlarımız rotasyona alındı.
Ertelediğimiz multi-sig yapılar sistemimize entegre edilmeye başlandı.

▫️ Kapsamlı denetim ve araştırma başlatıldı
Güvenlik mühendislerimiz olayın tam analizini yapıyor.
Tüm sistemlerde olası diğer açıklar araştırılıyor.
İlk bulgular, olayın sadece bu eski sunucuyla sınırlı olduğunu gösteriyor ama biz yine de tüm altyapıyı baştan sona kontrol ediyoruz.

3️⃣ Daha İyi Olma Sözümüz

Bu olay acı verici ama aynı zamanda bir uyanış niteliğinde.
Hacken olarak bunu büyümek için bir fırsat olarak görüyoruz.

İşte bundan sonra neler olacak:

▫️ Daha sıkı iç denetim ve sıfır tolerans
Özellikle eski sistemler ve test ortamları dahil olmak üzere tüm iç yapılarımız artık en yüksek güvenlik standardında çalışacak.
Artık “zayıf halka”ya yer yok. Her şey ya düzeltilecek ya da tamamen kaldırılacak.

▫️ Sürekli denetim ve erken uyarı mekanizması
Sadece klasik denetimler değil, düzenli ve önleyici güvenlik kontrolleri devreye alındı.
Ekip içinde en küçük bir riski fark eden herkes bunu anında dile getirecek.
Artık “sonra bakarız” yok.

▫️ Toplulukla bilgileri paylaşmak
Bu olaydan çıkarılan dersleri sizlerle paylaşacağız.
Sadece raporlarla değil, bloglar, canlı sohbetler ve danışmanlık süreçlerinde de bu tecrübeyi aktaracağız.
Bu yaşananlar, biz dahil herkes için bir uyarıdır: Anahtar yönetimi ve eski altyapılar ciddiye alınmalıdır.

Güven zor kazanılır, kolay kaybedilir.

Bir güvenlik şirketinin böyle bir olay yaşaması elbette rahatsız edici olabilir.
Ama biz bu güveni yeniden kazanmak için lafla değil, işle hareket edeceğiz.

Token yapısının toparlanma sürecinde ve sistem güvenliğini daha da artırırken, kararlılığımızı göreceksiniz.
