Crowned our Friday with launching of the upgrading of the Ngorika main road network to tarmac in Olkalou Constituency, Nyandarua County.

This shatters a barrier that has been there since independence that denied access to health services, education and market access for the people of Ngorika ward.

Nyandarua, being Kenya’s undisputed food basket makes it a prime frontier for the expansion of our domestic and international portfolio and by ensuring robust road networks that connect local farmers to markets, this seamlessly boosts the economic growth across the constituency and in the country.

Nyandarua County stands firmly behind Samuel Muchina Nyaga, whose development-first vision ensures Ol Kalou stays directly plugged into the National Government’s transformation agenda and is closely aligned with national priorities.

Progress is a product of unified leadership and a shared vision, and this joint approach is the ultimate engine for local economic growth for a better Kenya 🇰🇪

Coming back home to Ndaragwa today brought a wave of nostalgia and filled my heart with immense gratitude.

​The opportunity to join hands with my colleague CS @davis_chirchir for @TransportKE to check on the progress of the historic Ndaragwa-Kanyagia-Subuku and Maili Kumi-Subuku-Shamata road links was deeply personal for me.

​Growing up here, these roads were a distant dream~ today we are rewriting history. This is the most significant development milestone our Kihara village has witnessed since independence—and we remain deeply grateful for this progress.

Thank you, His Excellency President @WilliamsRuto for changing the narrative; Ndaragwa and Nyandarua County remains deeply indebted.

You may dislike Ruto’s domestic politics, but pretending he is failing diplomatically is intellectually dishonest. Ruto’s critics are still treating diplomacy as foreign travel and photo opportunities.

He has taken Kenya into rooms usually reserved for the world’s major powers and positioned it as a bridge between Africa, the West and the Global South.

At the G7, the agenda is not village succession politics. It is debt, credit pricing, development finance, investment and the architecture of the next global order.

While provincial political operators fight over who inherits a mountain, Ruto is trying to secure Kenya a seat at the table where the price of Africa’s future capital will be decided.

On the margins of the G7 Leaders’ Summit, I held discussions with OpenAI Chief Executive Officer Sam Altman on opportunities to deepen collaboration in artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

We explored potential collaboration through establishing Nairobi as the home of the first OpenAI Academy initiative in Eastern Africa, expanding AI education, strengthening digital skills, supporting educators and learners, and reinforcing Kenya’s position as a leading hub for AI talent and innovation.

I underscored the importance of harnessing emerging technologies to create opportunities for young people, drive innovation and ensure Africa plays a meaningful role in shaping the future digital economy.
