As antisemitism and hate-fueled violence continue to rise, we must turn down the temperature and stand united against every act of hate targeting Jewish New Yorkers, AAPI New Yorkers, and every community.
We will never allow hate to become normalized in our city.
NYC air quality has reached 'Very Unhealthy' levels (AQI 201+). At this level, everyone, not just sensitive groups, may experience serious health effects.
What to do:
✅ Reschedule or move all unnecessary activities indoors
✅ All New Yorkers should avoid strenuous and prolonged (more than one hour) outdoor activities
✅ Keep windows closed when indoors
✅ If you use AC, close the fresh air intake so smoky air stays out
✅ If you have an air purifier, run it at the highest setting
✅ If you must be outside, a high-quality mask (N95/KN95) is recommended by health officials to reduce smoke exposure, but it's not a substitute for staying indoors
⚠️ Heat note: Very hot weather can be MORE dangerous than poor air quality. If you don't have AC, move to a cool indoor space, a library, a friend or family member's home, store, or another air-conditioned place.
Listen to your body. If you have watery eyes, a scratchy throat, or difficulty breathing, reduce physical activity and go indoors.
Some people are more sensitive to smoke and should avoid unnecessary outdoor activity: people with heart or respiratory conditions like asthma or COPD, people who are immunocompromised, older adults, people who are pregnant, and infants and children.
📞 Call 911 immediately if you or someone you are caring for has severe difficulty breathing or chest pain. If symptoms persist after air quality improves, contact a health care provider or seek urgent care.
Most healthy people recover quickly from smoke exposure without long-term effects, but take precautions now.

Israel sent search-and-rescue teams to Venezuela. That's a documented fact.
The @nytimes reported on the international response while omitting Israel's rescue mission. Other major media outlets did the same. That's not a typo. It's not a factual dispute. It's an editorial choice. When the facts don't fit the narrative, the facts disappear.
That's why nobody trusts todays activist media especially when they report on Israel.

BREAKING: “Prayer Permit” case going to the Supreme Court!
SCOTUS has just agreed to hear the case of Daniel Grand, an Orthodox Jew forbidden from holding a Sabbath prayer meeting in his Ohio home without a “special use permit.” City officials later harassed him and encouraged neighbors to watch his home for signs of religious activity.
Governments can’t use zoning laws as an excuse to chill religious freedom. With our co-counsel @Orrick, @ADFLegal looks forward to representing Daniel at the high court next term.

Beautiful day marching up Fifth Avenue with @MikeBloomberg for the annual Israel Day Parade.
The NYPD was not messing around with security: this was the most extensive security plan that the NYPD has ever put together for this event so that everyone could celebrate safely.
Thank you to every member of the NYPD who was out today protecting our city.
Today, I was proud to join New York's Jewish communities at the Israel Day Parade to celebrate culture, history, resilience, and the deep ties that bind our communities together.
