@brent858 Miserable, insane, and nihilist all seem quite strong for someone trying earnestly to understand a social phenomenon, no?
I agree the community/something bigger element is significant. Is it it too nihilist or miserable for you to ask why people seem to so badly desire that?
While this is only a partial explanation, the main problem with the observation expressed is that it is somewhat obvious. There are many responses making fun of the tweet but none actually managing to argue against it
leftists in new york (and probably some ohio dsa voyeurs) got particularly into the knicks because it was an easy way to feign proximity to working class black people (who they fetishize) and because zohran is mayor, that’s like 95% of it— they get furious when you point this out
@EricksonKiva Tomorrow I'll go on Twitter closer to work hours like you do and see if that magically changes the recent mediocrity of your basketball program
@klashawndd @SNY_Mets He admired the ball. I'm asking for a jog. If he can't jog, he can't play. And if he can't jog, he can't score from 2nd on a single either. He could have protected his calf and still gotten to 3rd. They could have lost in 10 innings instead of 9!
@JohnJohnson67_@SNY_Mets He's hitting great and he's not the only player who would have acted exactly the same. My concern is less with Soto and more with the culture of the team and even the culture of Baseball overall
@EvelisRosario@SNY_Mets I understand your point. But the injury was 27 days ago. I'm not asking for him to sprint the whole way. If he had just jogged 70% instead of admiring the ball, he would have had a triple. He could have protected his calf and still tried much harder
@JohnJohnson67_@SNY_Mets If results were the same, Vientos's line out would have scored Soto because the infield would have been in and it would have been a single. That's the run they lost by. And even so, are you arguing it doesn't matter that Soto, on this 10-21 team, isn't playing to win?
@Novig It won't go down as the best collection of players on here, but Vegas as it is would almost certainly favor Michigan to win against the other three. Basketball is about more than the collection of players. Who Michigan beat and how is clear in the metrics. They're the favorite
