There is an unholy matrimony on X between the neo-supporters of the ADC and APC, united in mischief and misrepresentation, many of whom were formerly self-acclaimed supporters of His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi.
Our dear brothers and sisters, we do not begrudge you. We understand that, sometimes, economic considerations can overwhelm one’s commitment to the ideals of an egalitarian society.
We see your new found bromance.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn put it aptly: “Evil people always support each other; that is their chief strength.”.
Our motivation, however, is this: when a bunch of known corrupt people unite against one man, spare no effort to ridicule him, blackmail him and assassinate his character, blindly follow that one man.
This is precisely why we will continue to follow His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi.
With Obi and Kwankwaso, Nigeria will be OK!
Why are Men in their 40s and 50s having stroke?
This is a first hand experience from someone who sees strokes every day. I wish every Man would read this, save and share for another Man.
First, what is a stroke. Imagine the brain has pipes (blood vessels) that feed it, when these pipes get blocked or burst, it cuts off blood to the brain causing that part to die. NOW THAT IS A STROKE.
Some Top causes I noted in Younger people:
1 HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE- Lot of young people don't see high blood pressure as a thing for the young. they are working one day, headache, can't move their hands and legs. BOOM , A stroke
2 Diabetes too is gradually pulling its weight in causing stroke in young people.
3 Heavy smokers- well , smoking has always been a big risk for stroke
4 People that take substances like Crack, Cannabis, Cocaine ( adulterated and pure), Mmkpurumiri ( especially in the East) they are directly linked to stroke
5 Abnormal level of unhealthy fats in the blood
6 Alcohol and stroke are like besties, especially for binge drinkers.
7 with the advent of remote work, people being sedentary this has also contributed significantly coupled with people not handling stress well.
Another reason I will say is that we are doing so much awareness, people understand subtle symptoms of stroke , we always teach the BE FAST Acronym (I'll attach a picture) when people see this, they rush to the hospital.
The things that were thought to be spiritual and forces from the village, with our history , examination and brain scans, tests we can tell that it is a stroke.
To reduce your risk
- check your blood pressure
- use your meds if you are on any chronic medication
- say no to smoking
- no to alcohol
- avoid sedentary life and exercise a bit
- eat healthy
- go for routine tests (many things can be picked)
As a bonus, if you are in Lagos, we are organizing the largest stroke outreach of the year to mark THE WORLD STROKE DAY on OCTOBER 29
Venue is LASUTH. You will learn more about stroke, how to prevent it and network with specialists.
it is free for everyone!!!
As governor of the decade, the @THISDAYLIVE Award humbles me. I dedicate the award to the people of Anambra State for believing in me and to all Nigerians for standing with me through the travails to recover my stolen mandate.-PO

ENDSARS LEKKI TOLL GATE: NEVER FORGET OCTOBER 20, 2020
Today, October 20, 2026, marks the sixth anniversary of the Lekki Toll Gate shootings, a painful reminder of the price Nigerian youths paid in their demand for a better country.
On that fateful night, peaceful #EndSARS protesters were met with gunfire. Lives were lost, many were injured, and the nation was left with questions about justice, accountability, and the sanctity of human life.
We must never forget. We must never normalise injustice.
As we remember the victims, I reaffirm my belief that a New Nigeria is possible—a country where citizens are protected, not brutalised; where young people are heard, not silenced; and where government power is exercised with responsibility and respect for human rights.
Nigeria must become a nation where no citizen is punished for demanding good governance and a better future.
May the souls of the departed continue to rest in peace. May their sacrifice strengthen our resolve to build a Nigeria where this tragedy will never be repeated.
A New Nigeria is POssible. A Nigeria where every life matters. -PO
Nigeria In Focus: At The Roundtable in Paris, France
Today, I participated in a roundtable discussion at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) office in Paris, France.
The dialogue brought together policymakers, diplomats, development experts, representatives of international organisations, and members of the international media to discuss Nigeria’s future and its role in an increasingly interconnected world.
Our discussions focused on development cooperation and the need to strengthen bilateral partnerships that can accelerate economic growth, improve the lives of our people, create productive opportunities, and support sustainable national development.
I reiterated my firm belief that Nigeria possesses the human and natural resources required to become a united, secure, prosperous, and globally competitive nation. What we need is competent, accountable, and compassionate leadership that prioritises investment in people, education, healthcare, productive enterprise, the rule of law, and strong institutions over a politics of consumption.
Nigeria’s future is bright, but realising its promise requires deliberate choices. We must move from consumption to production, from poverty to prosperity, and from wasted potential to shared progress.
Through good governance, fiscal responsibility, and mutually beneficial international partnerships, we can build an economy that works for all Nigerians and restore our nation’s rightful standing in the comity of nations.
A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO
Today is a good day to remind you that the genesis akintollsnake's @akintollgate perceived social capital came from the death of #EndSARS protesters at the toll gate controlled by his friend.
Today, he has gone back to the killers while still benefiting from their deaths.
MY MESSAGE HAS BEEN TWISTED
Even though my media office has issued a responsible clarification on the situation, I still find it necessary to add my voice to address the distortion of my message by political opponents.
I deeply appreciate Nigerians in the diaspora who work tirelessly and make enormous sacrifices to support their families back home. Their remittances pay for school fees, hospital bills, rent, and feeding expenses. Their patriotism and sacrifices deserve our profound respect.
I never asked them to abandon their loved ones. My concern is that Nigeria should not remain a country where millions depend on relatives abroad for basic survival.
Our goal must be to build a nation that provides jobs, affordable healthcare, quality education, and economic opportunities for its citizens.
Political opponents may twist my message, but the truth remains clear: I am not asking Nigerians abroad to abandon their families. I am advocating for a Nigeria that will no longer abandon its own people.
God bless Nigerians at home and abroad. God bless Nigeria. -PO
The Audacity of Imagination. During a long drive from Manchester with stops in Birmingham NDC Presidential candidate Peter Obi and I visited the recent brainstorming on his manifesto which focused on very audacious interventions and Goals to redeem Nigeria from crippling corruption that has pushed the misery index into red alert. We agreed that besides debilitating corruption and poor leadership hamstringing progress not having bold innovations and tenacity have been in the way of the promise of Nigeria. Declaring states of emergency in Education, Health Care, Food Security and Security as well as power, with special champions appointed to drive high performance as stretch goals. This will be anchored on consequences for not reaching those goals in set time becoming public management tools
. Frontal assault on corruption, especially with technology that will prevent Custom Duty and other revenues from flowing into private pockets, could bring in more than 30 trillion Naira a year without increasing taxes to make for a functioning primary healthcare system and the building of one World class hospital in each geopolitical zone within 30 months. A special Diaspora return initiative would enable transforming turn around of the sector.
Massive deployment of solar, and wind , in addition to emergency services of turbines on Badges floating down major rivers could quickly raise generated power to 40.000 megawatts through creative financing without borrowing as Egypt and others have done

Education Is the Foundation of a New Nigeria
Education remains the most important tool for development and nation-building. It has been proven that the more educated a nation is, the better it develops. It has also been proven that the developing and developed nations of today are those that have invested in education, healthcare and pulling people out of poverty.
Nigeria’s increasing poverty remains a consequence of not investing adequately in critical areas of development, especially education.
Today, while observing the International Day of Rural Women, I visited Sheda and Sheda Galadima, in Kwali Area Council of FCT, where I was surprised to see a huge number of school-age children in the market environs on a school day.
In my conversation with the children, I was deeply shocked to learn that they had been at home for over two weeks due to the teachers’ strike.
So, while we are busy inaugurating campaign councils with pomp and pageantry and declaring economic miracles, our young children of school age are loitering in the streets because of a strike, in a nation with already over 18 million out-of-school children.
It is time to put our children and the future of our country back at the centre of governance and government decisions. Under our leadership, investment in health and education, as well as pulling people out of poverty, will be our priorities.
The relevant authorities should immediately ensure that our children in public schools return to school in the FCT.
A New Nigeria is POssible, and Nigeria will be OK. -PO
I was at a PVC collection venue today and I met no crowd nor queue. PVCs were ready in packs and even the officials there were wondering why people weren't coming for them.
Elections are not won without PVCs. Let's not just make noise online alone. Please!!!
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Nigerians should be able to report accurately what public polling-unit result sheets show.
My letter to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)@inecnigeria, dated 12 October 2026, addresses a distinction I believe matters: formal declaration is INEC’s responsibility. Accurate reporting of records already in the public domain is a separate act.
I rely on Section 39(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended, and Sections 25 and 124(4) of the Electoral Act 2026. My argument is not that anyone should declare results in INEC’s place. It is that publication and scrutiny should not be mistaken for formal declaration. The INEC Result Viewing Portal (IReV) makes this question concrete. If citizens, journalists, political parties and observers can view authentic polling-unit result sheets but cannot be sure whether they may discuss the figures or flag discrepancies, access risks becoming nominal rather than meaningful. Information about INEC results should be accurately sourced and open to public scrutiny.
I refer to a 1984 Lagos High Court decision, Nigeria Union of Journalists, FCT & 2 Ors. v. Inspector-General of Police, concerning the publication of results announced at polling centres. To my knowledge, that decision has not been appealed. I also point to the June 12, 1993 presidential election as an example of the value of public visibility.
There is a genuine trade-off: publishing too quickly without verification can be misleading. Accuracy comes first. But that is a reason for clear source labels and a transparent process for correcting discrepancies, not for leaving the public uncertain about what may be reported.
I have asked INEC to explain the steps needed to publish verified records within two hours of the close of polls or completion of counting, where feasible.
What does the 1984 case actually establish, and what practical publication timetable am I asking INEC to explain?
