Mr. Collins treating Elizabeth's rejection like a formality is why I love Pride and Prejudice

[Joshua Roberts @joshr_84]

I love books that make me want to sit in a dim room and stare at the light for a while.

[𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐬 (Golden Age Arc) @myth_pilot]

“In temple architecture the main room stands at a considerable distance from the garden; so dilute is the light there that no matter what the season, on fair days or cloudy, morning, midday, or evening, the pale, white glow scarcely varies. And the shadows at the interstices of the ribs seem strangely immobile, as if dust collected in the corners had become a part of the paper itself. I blink in uncertainty at this dreamlike luminescence, feeling as though some misty film were blunting my vision. The light from the pale white paper, powerless to dispel the heavy darkness of the alcove, is instead repelled by the darkness, creating a world of confusion where dark and light are indistinguishable. Have not you yourselves sensed a difference in the light that suffuses such a room, a rare tranquility not found in ordinary light? Have you never felt a sort of fear in the face of the ageless, a fear that in that room you might lose all consciousness of the passage of time, that untold years might pass and upon emerging you should find you had grown old and gray?

And surely you have seen, in the darkness of the innermost rooms of these huge buildings, to which sunlight never penetrates, how the gold leaf of a sliding door or screen will pick up a distant glimmer from the garden, then suddenly send forth an ethereal glow, a faint golden light cast into the enveloping darkness, like the glow upon the horizon at sunset. In no other setting is gold quite so exquisitely beautiful. You walk past, turning to look again, and yet again; and as you move away the golden surface of the paper glows ever more deeply, changing not in a flash, but growing slowly, steadily brighter, like color rising in the face of a giant. Or again you may find that the gold dust of the background, which until that moment had only a dull, sleepy luster, will, as you move past, suddenly gleam forth as if it had burst into flame.

How, in such a dark place, gold draws so much light to itself is a mystery to me. But I see why in ancient times statues of the Buddha were gilt with gold and why gold leaf covered the walls of the homes of the nobility. Modern man, in his well-lit house, knows nothing of the beauty of gold…”

Got 20k flies from my two @frankythefrog blind boxes rewards, spun the flywheel and got another 10k, spun like 50 times and got a gold box 🙌🏻 LFG!! Gecko gang!

A GTA 6 mural update via /u/Salty_Scrotum on Reddit. Jason and Lucia will be getting painted soon! Thanks to @D1ZNUTTS for sharing.

I love how Cathy can make people argue about what kind of person she really was.

[cursed @cursedhat]

“cathy was always pure evil, she was always the physical manifestation of the devil walking on earth, steinbeck never wanted you to try and examine her more closely and see her as a person who had been harmed and was running”

[Joshua Roberts @joshr_84]

How do y'all keep a home gym cool enough to lift in the summer? I'm sweating just thinking about a garage workout

I know these are probably fake and still immediately start ranking which ones I want on my team

[ThatTrainerD ‼️COMMS OPEN‼️ @ThatTrainerD]

New 4chan rumor/“leak” for #PokemonWindsWaves
Just a list of names for supposed new pokemon that’ll be in the game. Do I believe this is real? No. We get these type of things with every new region. But I enjoy the speculation

[Joshua Roberts @joshr_84]

I just want to see the emote without a whole fireworks show going off around them

[Justin @Justin_Neagle]

Please add a 'No' option for Auras, I don't want to see them in Battle Royale @Fortnite @FortniteStatus

[Joshua Roberts @joshr_84]

I take these galactic map updates way too personally for someone who plays one mission and logs off

[Voice of Cyberstan @VoiceCyberstan]

Everything went according to plan, Matar Bay is protected, and the progress of Super Earth has been nullified.

I love when a game gets tied to a whole era of your life and the people in it 🥹

[Skyler (Sky) 🐈‍⬛ @SkyTheSpaceGirI]

Replayed Halo Infinite
It’s got issues but I love it regardless
This game really got me out of my shell which lead me to start posting on social media and making pretty much all of the online friends I have now
No matter what the future holds I’ll cherish that forever

[Joshua Roberts @joshr_84]

I already know I'm going to spend the whole year regretting one choice I made in the first week

[Nate - TheFutAccountant @FUT_Accountant]

A few reminders for the Playstyles Lab in FC 27 (when it comes out)

- EA said we don’t customize ALL Playstyles, only some of them.

- Playstyles will cost different amounts based on meta impact

- It’s out for the entire year

[Joshua Roberts @joshr_84]

I like small maps in new multiplayer games because I can actually remember where the hell I got shot from.

[Joshua Roberts @joshr_84]

I could lose an entire weekend to Halo couch co-op and feel absolutely no regret

[Brokowski @Brokowski25]

As a 36 year old father of 3, I’ve been waiting ten years for this 😭

Halo couch co op is really something special

[Joshua Roberts @joshr_84]

Dazzi's got the electric cutie market all to herself and I need Pocket Pair to fix that already

[Qawsada @Qawsada]

Dazzi is in the category of Brats that refuse to stay in your Palsphere. It still baffles me that ever since the EA release, Dazzi is the sole electric "waifumon" in the game, and Pocket Pair hasn't release another electric "waifumon" since.

[Joshua Roberts @joshr_84]

I hate when the party leader starts the next match while I'm still trying to read what I picked up 🥲

Retro Lightning Lance Berkman might be enough to make me lose an entire evening to baseball.

Gears of War: E-Day

Reviews for the new game have launched, garnering strong scores—ranging from 88 to 89 out of 100 on Metacritic—as it marks a highly anticipated return to the series' roots. It is a strong contender for Game of the Year. #XBOX
