Another example of how going on a vegan diet does not negatively impact testosterone levels ๐ช 1180 total testosterone!
My total testosterone is up ~400 points since 4 years ago when I was on a heavily meat based diet. Full natty brah - haven't eaten animal flesh in 2 years
I still have some stuff to improve clearly with 80 SHBG and ideally free testosterone around 180-220 pg / mL according to coach Greg
But I am very happy with these bloodwork results. There is no downside to being on a vegan diet IMO! Once you get a diet plan that works for you โก๏ธrvery single aspect of my life got better objectively and subjectively ๐๐
Just gotta catch the legend @ChristianJsays now just casually chilling at 1350 total T ๐๐ช hahahah jk another great example of how a vegan diet does not inherently cause low T levels and can actually be of benefit if that is your desired goal ๐ฅ

The truth is simple: masculinity doesnโt come from eating corpses. Strength doesnโt come from domination. And freedom doesnโt come from propping up fragile hierarchies with the bodies of animals.

Potassium reverses insulin resistance.
Intake of an extra 1.5g of potassium per day:
โ Lowers fasting blood sugar
โ Improves glucose metabolism
โ Lowers insulin levels
97% of people don't get enough in the diet - mainly in fruits, potatoes, and veg.
the great paradox of calcium
"never take calcium. avoid calcium by all costs! you will calcify your soft tissue!"
right?
wrong.
here's the truth:
calcium lowers parathyroid hormone (PTH) - lower PTH means LESS soft tissue calcification
calcium suppresses aldosterone and adrenaline, keeping stress hormones in check.
calcium is thermogenic, raising body temperature and metabolic rate.
calcium supports thyroid function and glucose oxidation.
calcium improves muscle function and nerve signaling.
without enough calcium:
- your metabolism slows
- your stress hormones rise
- your body temperature drops
PTH rises and calcium can gets pulled from bones and deposited in soft tissues.
what is PTH (parathyroid hormone) actually?
PTH is produced by your parathyroid glands (tiny glands behind your thyroid).
its main job is to keep blood calcium levels stable.
when calcium in the blood drops, PTH pulls calcium from bones.
it also increases calcium reabsorption in the kidneys. it activates vitamin D, so you absorb more calcium from the gut.
why too much PTH is bad:
high PTH means calcium gets pulled from bones and tissues, this can lead to soft tissue calcification.
chronic high PTH means you will have weaker bones, slower metabolism and higher stress hormones.
how to keep PTH low:
eat adequate calcium
avoid chronic stress and stimulants
support your thyroid and metabolism
maintain magnesium and potassium balance
what actually drives soft tissue calcification (it's not the calcium that you eat):
excess copper
excess vitamin D or A toxicity
lead, cadmium and mercury toxicity
oxidative stress and chronic inflammation
imbalanced minerals (low zinc, low magnesium, low potassium)
adequate calcium + proper nutrition actually protects bones and soft tissues.
get your calcium in.

Have never felt better on any other diet and that is simply the truth ๐ช
Life only gets better when you stop eating animal products.
Doesn't mean there won't be ups and downs but since quitting meat 2 years ago my quality of life has only ascended ๐
Trust the process. Choose peace.

โThe reabsorption of semen by the blood is the strongest nourishment and, perhaps more than any other factor, it prompts the stimulus of power, the unrest of all forces toward the overcoming of resistances, the thirst for contradiction and resistance. The feeling of power has so far mounted highest in abstinent priests and hermits."
