Today marks the by-election in Battle River--Crowfoot, Alberta, prompting a reflection on the array of options available. Katherine Swampy, the federal NDP candidate, hails from the Cree community of Samson Cree Nation, embodying a commitment to amplifying the voices of those often overlooked.
Katherine brings a wealth of experience to the table, having served as a Councillor for the Samson Cree Nation for six years, alongside active participation on various boards and committees.
Her academic journey is equally impressive, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Studies, a Master’s in Public Policy Administration, and a Master’s of Philosophy, currently pursuing a PhD to further enrich her knowledge base.

I am relieved and thankful that Canada will be a leader in Human Rights again, as they have been on multiple fronts, particularly in the Americas. Equal marriage comes to mind for my generation.
Palestinians have rights that every other human on this earth has, that is: "All Human Beings are Born Free and Equal in Dignity and Rights. They are Endowed with Reason and Conscience and Should Act Towards One Another in a Spirit of Brotherhood" (or I would change to Humanity).
For today and the near future, I want to keep the focus on Palestinians and Palestine. The rights, resources, and treatment that come with the international recognition of Nationhood are huge. Specifically, the International community recognizing Palestine as a State (Country) in this world is of paramount importance.

📸 No one follows more etiquette rules than the Royal Family—but notice how King Charles didn’t make any smart-ass or demeaning comments about Zelensky’s attire today.
Why? Because respect isn’t about clothes—it’s about character. And that’s something money can’t buy.
