@Geo_AW It’s not underpaid. It’s a small budget independent movie.

I have also only been able to offer a few hundred as a day rate to crew for projects. It is what it is.

And as opportunities grow, the offers grow too.

Once again, it would be insane for a painter to email you asking for more money because they saw you sold your house for more than they thought.

@tellesmith Yeah it eludes me. I was even on TikTok creator platform and got multiple viral / millions of views videos. And made $90 for that month.

Mostly because they would claim it automatically as “stolen” content. And I had to constantly appeal their bots that I created the work 😭💀

I always thought Neil Blomkamp was missing a huge part of the market by not flooding YouTube with BTS for his OATS studios content.

What’s sad about this, is the entire crew should be using this as momentum to get hired on bigger jobs. “I was the lead art director on obsession!” Would get you work.

Not complain about their cut they agreed to when it was an unknown small film.
