@robert_t_bruce@southstarbrew US$32 for a four pack. Add in state sales tax (US stores never include it till check out) - that’s NZD$58 / four pack. Our latest Trillium collab double IPA is $11 including GST - USD$6.60 - with significantly higher excise tax…
@southstarbrew@thebiglankyape Drinking pints of Murphy’s in snugs around Cork County was the inspiration behind it, so best to track that down for a comparison! 🍻
@MarioWynands Beyond overdue, but still fantastic news. I can’t help but reflect in the time it took for this to happen, a game engine company started, grew and acquired the recipient of the bulk of NZSPG cash. Makes you wonder what could have been if this had happened 15 years ago..
@southstarbrew US craft volumes have increased 59.7% since Grapefruit Sculpin was released. In that same time, the number of breweries has increased 193.6%. I would argue that is a bigger problem than fruit flavoured beers which can be traced back hundreds if not thousands of years..
@southstarbrew Our collaboration with Sierra was Steve’s last project before he retired. All the Beer Camp breweries were matched with a different SN brewer, and we were lucky to get Steve. Brilliant guy and real highlight working with him
@rowansimpson Seems to be no shortage of capital for companies operating in this space. https://t.co/yC7285mtZa has raised US$750m with multiple products in the market now
