I don't think anyone who hasn't run a school trip, particularly overnight ones, can appreciate the mental load. Constantly on. I think it's got worse with expectations higher and the risk of something going wrong more severe. Those that do it are the best of us.

[Jules Johnson @JoulesJohnson]

@SPBeale Thank you so much for sharing this - you really have saved hours and hours of work!

[Jules Johnson @JoulesJohnson]

A great weekend of navigation and expedition CPD with @hwacf. Tremendously helpful and always supportive and knowledgeable staff. Lots of scenarios & even a cooking comp with a Trangia! Just what's needed before we head into the @DofE Expedition season. @ACFADofE

[Jules Johnson @JoulesJohnson]

What a brilliant night of entertainment! Thank you so much to the cast and crew - what an effort! I have also decided that as most of the stars are in my GCSE History group we might be conducting tomorrow's period 5 lesson with musical interludes...

[Noel Baker Academy @noelbakerlead]

[Jules Johnson @JoulesJohnson]

A brilliant morning at @ReptonFestival listening to @CatJarman enthuse about her new book #TheBoneChests. @NBAHumanities we have some updates to make to our curriculum! @ColWalker77 @Miss_Bates19

[Noel-Baker Academy Humanities Faculty @NBAHumanities]

What a day! @noelbakerlead & mascot (Banaby) went to London! Thank you @HRP_palaces - our visit to @TowerOfLondon was awesome! There was so much to see & Protest & Rebellion was so good! The @thamesclippers to Westminster, then Buckingham Palace topped off the day brilliantly!

[Jules Johnson @JoulesJohnson]

A very early start (it was still night time) with @Miss_Bates19 as we head off for our recce of @TowerOfLondon. The things we do for our students... but we're also super excited! Thank you @HRP_palaces for the familiarisation day. Now, where is the tea?!

[Jules Johnson @JoulesJohnson]

This was brilliant and made even better by being delivered by the exceptional @uniofleicester (I may be biased 😉). #ClassicsForAll

[Noel-Baker Academy Humanities Faculty @NBAHumanities]

Thank you so much to @ArchAncHistLeic for a brilliant contribution to our Careers Week! Y7 were treated to an afternoon of discovering what archaeology involves including getting their hands on some 2000 year old artefacts! Thank you to Dr Jane Ainsworth and @WingfieldClaire.

[DofE Jo @DofE_Jo]

Skill at Arms and Shooting combined is a fantastic Skill for Cadets also doing their #DofE. Practice makes perfect as they say. Well done all taking part, especially as shooting in the rain is not easy! @ACFADofE

[Noel-Baker Academy Humanities Faculty @NBAHumanities]

What an amazing day! Thank you @LincolnCastle and @LincsCathedral. Our medieval life unit has come alive! Also a huge thank you to @Miss_Bates19 for her incredible organisation and planning. Heading back to @noelbakerlead with some very tired students, and Barnaby! 😴

[Jules Johnson @JoulesJohnson]

@WingfieldClaire Road trip!!!!

[Jules Johnson @JoulesJohnson]

A brilliant weekend away with @hwacf on our Navigation & Expedition testing board. Bronze @DofE Expeditions have been completed and our @ACFADofE bears have been well looked after. Thank you @DofE_Jo for your organisation, hard work & leadership.

After watching the coronation with fascination (I'm a history teacher hoping a student from the last 20 years noticed the crown, orb & sceptre "oooh, the items of kingship", Bayeux Tapestry, etc.), I really hope everyone appreciates the incredible musical support required.

[Jules Johnson @JoulesJohnson]

@93_smitherens Luckily @MoneySavingExp has produced these brilliant books:
https://t.co/3VNej5AdOb All students in Years 10 & 11 at my school follow this as part of their PSHE curriculum. I encourage everyone I speak to do to the same but curriculum time is very short in schools.

So far in 1066:

• Edward the Confessor has died.
• Harold Godwineson has been named king instead of Edgar Ætheling.
• Edward has been buried.
• Harold has been crowned.

It's still only 6 January.

[Jules Johnson @JoulesJohnson]

A great weekend with @hwacf. It was a little chilly 🧊❄️ so thank goodness for our @ACFADofE hats! Thank you @DofE_Jo & Lou for your relentless enthusiasm 😁. In fact it was so good the cadets at our stand could levitate!

[Jules Johnson @JoulesJohnson]

Super proud to work with this incredible team!

[Noel-Baker Academy Humanities Faculty @NBAHumanities]

What an amazing evening @noelbakerlead #OpenEvening2022! Here's us (plus a couple of our fabulous governors) at the end of the evening when we all got to try on some of the items of authentic period clothing we'd been talking about all evening. #ChonologyInClothing
