So, here's a thought..... The average school run distance is 1.6 miles, currently only 2% of primary aged children ride to school & 60% of all car journeys are under 5 miles.
Why don't we build safe cycling infra on main roads for 1 mile in at least 2 directions around schools..

Make it safe for them to do so whatever their age or ability eg make it safe for every child to walk to school or a play park.
