Just a random bit of introspection. Two or three years ago, I bumped into someone in eBloc 2. I was in a hurry because I was already late for work. He asked where I worked. I told him the company name while slowly walking away, but he followed and asked if we were hiring. As far as I knew at the time, we were. I pointed him to the recruitment hub. Then he asked if I could refer him. I didn’t quite catch it clearly, and the thought only registered a moment later.
I could feel the emotion in every word—the desperation.
Looking back, if I could turn back time and relive that moment, I would have walked him over to the office myself and ushered him straight into recruitment to get his application started, instead of just answering his questions out of polite compliance.
@JohnCena Agree. Without both elements, relationships stagnate, appreciation alone risks superficial harmony, while confrontation without appreciation breeds defensiveness. balanced practice is key to long-term health and growth.
Above all, never lie to yourself.
That’s the one principle I keep coming back to, because it’s not about being brutally honest with everyone else, it’s about refusing to fool the person staring back at you in the mirror; the moment you start feeding yourself convenient half-truths, excuses, or polished stories, everything begins to blur, you lose the edge that lets you see what’s real in your own heart, in your choices, and in the world around you.
I’ve seen it in my own life, the times I avoided facing uncomfortable truths were exactly when I felt lost, so radical self-honesty is never easy, but it’s the only way to stay grounded, grow stronger, and build connections that actually matter. Dostoevsky dropped this truth bomb in The Brothers Karamazov, and it still hits different every single time.
@Polymarket Just because there is an ICC warrant doesn’t mean that there is a criminal case against Dela Rosa in a domestic court. The Philippines is not bound by the Rome Statute, therefore the ICC warrant is not enforceable in the Philippines.
Been sitting with this…
enjoying the simple stuff together is not about “settling.”
It’s actually a stress test for real compatibility.
If two people can enjoy ordinary moments; coffee, quiet walks, doing nothing, without needing constant stimulation, it means the connection isn’t dependent on circumstances.
The vibe carries the moment, not the other way around.
Lately I’ve been rethinking productivity.
The 3-3-3 method makes sense to me:
3 hours of deep work on one important task. 3 shorter urgent tasks. 3 small maintenance duties.
It accepts something hustle culture ignores, our focus is limited. Even research shows working 55+ hours a week can impair cognition.
Productivity is not just about doing more.
It’s about working within human limits.
reading densely for an hour a day completely rearranges your nervous system. the urge to scroll and other high-dopamine activities fades away. your thinking becomes calmer and deeper. i experienced this today after a long time: i was deeply immersed in the writer’s thoughts; the whys, hows, and whats going through their mind. your frequency shifts to a meta, high-order cognition that lets you observe both your own thinking and the writer’s.
This 1992 lecture at MIT from Steve Jobs will teach you more about product and sales than most 2 year MBA programs
Crazy just how ahead of his time this man truly was
The 2 Thessalonians 3 reminds me today about steady faith.
Not dramatic obedience.
Not loud spirituality.
Just showing up, working honestly, loving patiently, and trusting that He is faithful.
The impeachment of Sara is nothing more than a politically motivated witch hunt, a blatant attempt to dismantle her substantial support base. The so-called delays in the Senate trial are not obstructions; they are a critical adherence to due process, ensuring that the charges are scrutinized with the rigor and fairness that such grave proceedings demand
In 2022, the Filipino people, in their wisdom, overwhelmingly chose Duterte as veep, a clear endorsement of her leadership and dedication to our nation's interests. This mandate from the majority should not be trampled upon by a vocal minority driven by ulterior motives and a thirst for political revenge
No one saw it coming — not like this. Gwen Garcia, the long-reigning political titan of Cebu, now trailing behind Pam Baricuatro. This isn’t just a numbers game anymore; it’s a dramatic shift in the political consciousness of Cebuanos. For a province known for its loyalty to political dynasties, this upset signals something deeper: fatigue with the old guard, and an appetite for change.
And it seems that, this time, purpose is louder than pedigree.
