I’ve been accessioning a collection of early 20th-century #books donated to our repository from a local historical society. It is taking me longer than expected to describe each book because I keep finding surprises in them like paper dolls and plants.

I’m sharing photos of a mini #rarebook exhibition that I curated on the intersection of British Romanticism and the Greek War of Independence in the early 19th century. I knew little about this topic before embarking on this exhibit. I learned a lot!

Don’t get me wrong…I love our university students; however, sometimes it’s really nice when they all go home and I can finally catch up on collating books, updating ArchivesSpace and Alma, and fixing a billion spreadsheets. I had fun this week!

Our curator had a marvelous time facilitating a children's program at the North Cobb Regional Library called "Books with Surprises." Students interacted with the Bentley Museum's collection of historic of pop-up books and books with fore-edge paintings. #outreach
