The Things We Left Behind panel: "Find your people." Agreed, don't be discouraged if you don't connect with folks within your own unit. Particulary if you work at a big org, you can find other likeminded souls. At a university, the humanities are good place to look! #RBMS22
Plenary by Tamar Evangelestia-Dougherty was FIRE. Biggest takeaways: 1) Salaries for entry-level archivists sadly stagnated in comparison to rising living costs. 2) Convince donors to fund endowed positions if it's not in the "budget line." Fight for the next gen! #RBMS22
@catladylib Conference tweets. So many gold nuggets of knowledge from people tweeting from their sessions they attend. And the shoutout and support if you chaired said session. 😭
@fatdadscotty I literally think every day about how much I could be updating my processing/operations manual, only to be thwarted by the onslaught of more active, urgent matters. 😭
Coming out of my Twitter hibernation to say that I'm honored to be one of these peeps, and am pinching myself that this is still true. 😊 https://t.co/pFlUmc1RFV
@rachel_seale @vincy4fish98@BWtheArchivist @archivalflpnx @archivists_org Crowdsourcing events (when it's COVID-safe of course). I once attended a Chinese historical society event where former Chinatown locals were asked to help identify people in old photos. Loved it!
#ArchivesRepositoryTours spotlight, ctd: Love Old West history? Well the Utah State Archives has a case file on Butch Cassidy, who was in jail in Carbon County in 1897 for rustling cattle (changing brands illegally).

@BudgetBritain I had JUST finished my in-person MLIS and several internships the year before, and I was just in shock that something like that could happen in academia. 7 years later, I believe it. 😂
#ArchivesRepositoryTours spotlight: Seattle Munic. Archives, I appreciated the land acknowledgment statement in each of your video tours--https://t.co/gaZSiUJ5oy.👏FYI: The Duwamish Tribe has lived there since 8000 BCE. #saa21#saa2021@archivists_org
@BudgetBritain @GeekyGeekyWays I once worked at a library where one of the university finance managers was made an associate university librarian (a step below library director) with NO Librarian background. We were assured he was getting his online MLIS asap though. 🙄
Happy Friday archival enthusiasts! Time get on
"Island" Time. Today's #ArchivesRepositoryTours highlights the Rhode Island State Archives' projects such as collabs w/ African American artists. View the tour + others here:

#ArchivesRepositoryTours: Check out Old Dominion's 1919 photographs collection which shows you working class immigrant life in Norfolk, VA in the 1900s (No raptors included.): https://t.co/sqC3iAufpn #saa21#saa2021@archivists_org
#ArchivistsHomeCollections: I collect Star Wars memorabilia! I still have the original trilogy on VHS, THX remastered where Han shot 1st, w/ no CG scenes. (Game: Can you spy what doesn't belong on these shelves? 😅) What do you collect? Use our tags and share! #saa21#saa2021
@ArchiviProchilo I've slowed down recently because, well, the shelves are running out of space.... Which doesn't stop me from getting SW pins to add to my backpack LOL.
