I can relate to much of this as a parent of children with disabilities who grew up conservative Christian and has spent decades in the evangelical church. I have so much respect for women like Anna. Thank you for how you've advocated (and still do) for those outside the "norm"!
I'm writing on @substack about running for local office. My latest post is up and discusses the unique challenges of at-large elections for municipalities.

Vouchers go on trial in 2023. We’re challenging the constitutionality of private school vouchers. Spoiler: they’re unconstitutional and it’s time we end the harm they are causing our schools and our communities.

@CincyBuckeye @cincyhustle513 They sure do! I’m an example. 😁 I’ll love my kid no matter what, and I’m determined to find a way to respectfully discuss and disagree.
My 15-year-old just now: if I get a job at age 16, will I have to pay taxes?
Me: yes, on what you make after you earn $600.
Him: But I can’t vote until I’m 18. Isn’t that taxation without representation?! Didn’t we fight a whole big war over this?!
Me: excellent point…
@tallGOPgamerguy I mean... what he's seeing (at age 15) is taxes automatically taken from a paycheck. Adults know it's more complicated than this. I like that he's observing, thinking, and asking questions. Your point is also a good one.
