On this day in 2002, Prince performed "The Everlasting Now," a song off his twenty-fourth studio album The Rainbow Children, on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, while promoting his Live in Las Vegas DVD, joined by John Blackwell and Sheila E. on percussion, Maceo Parker and Eric Leeds on sax, Renato Neto on keys, and Greg Boyer on bone.

Malik Heard got a big surprise when he was at his graduation at the University of West Georgia.

His mom, Sgt. Eva Roby, who was deployed in Kosovo with the National Guard, surprised him after he received his diploma.

Sgt. Roby told Fox 5 that she has had to miss some important moments over the years, but she refused to miss her son, whom she raised as a single mom, graduate from college.

Malik is the first man to graduate from college in his family, and his degree is in Special Education.

Malik says he’s not done; he’s going for his Master's and PhD next.
