@thelonningsguy@PipsticksWalks this is the wonderful BBC Radio 4 program I caught today about old postman’s routes in the Lake District. Would make a lovely walk for you on your travels
Delighted to announce that we have acquired Munstead Wood, the home and garden of Gertrude Jekyll
Jekyll changed horticultural history from Munstead, so this is an exciting opportunity to share the story of this remarkable woman to a new generation

A stand out Nordic walk for all levels of fitness. Looking forward to taking part walking in a beautiful part of the country. #nordicwalking#weekendfun#naturelover
Look out for robins 👀
Over the coming weeks, the male will allow a female into his territory, where she will then set up a nest of dead leaves, moss and hair. The natural choice of a nest site is in a bush, but in the human world they can crop up in plant pots, so look out!
Today I was invited by the @ChilternsCCC to celebrate the working women of the Chilterns at their new conference for International Women’s Day. I met lots of interesting women walking different paths to my own, & so good meet here

A beautiful image to remind us of the fantastic scenery we can all experience along the #Ridgeway the storm clouds then gathered to remind us it’s still #winter 🥶🌧️
Deans Bottom, to the East of Lowbury Hill. This was taken today on a walk with @PipsticksWalks and @joykellaway between heavy rain showers! https://t.co/lUKLR03JcQ
@thorneh Hedley you’ll be pleased to know you missed the worst weather. Driving icy rain after Lowbury Hill kept us all walking as fast as we could. Great walk and very informative as usual from @PipsticksWalks#NorthWessexDowns#walking#Lowburyhill
We're not sure whether anyone has ever actually tried to take a horse and cart up this track - but just in case someone was thinking of doing so, they'd like to make it clear that it isn't allowed.
