This is the message we received from FMGs in Tamil Nadu and honestly, it shattered my heart 💔.
This is the reality of FMGs in India… even after clearing one of the toughest exams in the country, FMGE.
On one side, NMC officials proudly meet foreign delegates, sign MoUs, and promote MBBS abroad to “strengthen bilateral relations.”
But on the other side, the same NMC is unable to ensure that State Medical Councils follow its own rules.

How is this fair?
FMGs are suffering everywhere:

• Many states are not giving internship seats, even when seats are lying vacant.
• In some states, the waiting time is 2 years two years of life wasted for no reason.
• Many FMGs who completed internship are still not getting permanent registration.
• Some states are forcing extra years of internship, openly violating NMC’s public notice.
• And in most states, FMGs are working without stipend, surviving on hope alone.

Is this what “reforming medical education” looks like?
@JPNadda ji, we request you to look into this.
@MoHFW_INDIA @NMC_BHARAT — these issues have been going on since COVID.
How long will FMGs keep suffering like this?
We are not asking for privilege.
We are not asking for shortcuts.
We are only asking for basic fairness.
Don’t punish FMGs for choosing MBBS abroad.
We only want to serve our country, support our parents, and build a dignified life.

NEET SS 2025 candidates gave their exam on December 27.

Counselling finally began in March end. Joining date was April 10.

Thousands of doctors resigned from jobs, served notice periods, relocated cities, prepared documents, and put their careers on hold to join super-speciality training.

Then suddenly — counselling stopped because of a court case.

Since then?
Endless adjournments.
No hearing.
No accountability.
No clarity from DGHS or MCC.
No response on helplines.

5000–7000 doctors are now sitting jobless because the system cannot decide its own timeline.

You cannot play with the careers of doctors like this.
These are not numbers.
These are years of sacrifice, hard work, and lost income.

Either resolve the matter urgently or at least communicate transparently.

This silence is cruel.

मैं कर्नाटक, गुजरात, दिल्ली सहित देश के विभिन्न राज्यों में परीक्षा केंद्रों पर विद्यार्थियों — विशेषकर बेटियों — के साथ की जा रही अमर्यादित और अपमानजनक जांच प्रक्रिया पर गहरी पीड़ा और गंभीर चिंता व्यक्त करता हूँ।

परीक्षा की पवित्रता आवश्यक है, लेकिन किसी भी छात्र या छात्रा की गरिमा को कुचलकर नहीं।
आज कई परीक्षा केंद्रों पर जो दृश्य सामने आ रहे हैं — कपड़ों के बटन काटना, सलवार या पैंट फाड़ना, मंगलसूत्र उतरवाना, तुलसी की माला हटवाना, कलावा कटवाना, तिलक मिटवाना — यह केवल अव्यवस्था नहीं, बल्कि संवेदनहीनता की पराकाष्ठा है।

क्या भारत की बेटियाँ परीक्षा देने जाती हैं या अपमान सहने?

हर विद्यार्थी को सम्मान, सुरक्षा और आत्मसम्मान के साथ परीक्षा केंद्र में प्रवेश करने का अधिकार है। यदि कोई व्यक्ति नियम तोड़ते हुए पकड़ा जाए, तो उसके विरुद्ध कार्रवाई हो सकती है, लेकिन पूरे देश के बच्चों को अपराधी मानकर व्यवहार करना अन्यायपूर्ण और अस्वीकार्य है।

सबसे चिंताजनक बात यह है कि कहीं-कहीं एक वर्ग को पूरे शरीर को ढककर प्रवेश की अनुमति दी जाती है, जबकि सामान्य वस्त्र पहने हुए हिंदू समाज के बच्चों के कपड़े तक कटवाए जाते हैं। यह दोहरा मापदंड समाज में रोष और असंतोष पैदा करता है।
सुरक्षा के नियम सबके लिए समान होने चाहिए — न पक्षपात, न भेदभाव।

भारत का संविधान हर नागरिक को अपनी आस्था, संस्कृति और परंपराओं के साथ जीने का अधिकार देता है। ऐसे में बच्चों के धार्मिक प्रतीकों को जबरन हटवाना संविधान की भावना और भारतीय संस्कारों — दोनों के विरुद्ध है।

मैं भारत सरकार, शिक्षा मंत्रालय, सभी राज्य सरकारों, मुख्यमंत्रियों, सांसदों और जनप्रतिनिधियों से आग्रह करता हूँ कि वे इस विषय पर मौन न रहें।

तत्काल कदम उठाए जाएँ:

• परीक्षा केंद्रों पर अमर्यादित और अपमानजनक जांच प्रक्रिया पर रोक लगे।
• विद्यार्थियों की गरिमा और निजता की रक्षा हेतु मानवीय दिशा-निर्देश जारी हों।
• दोषी अधिकारियों और संस्थाओं पर कठोर कार्रवाई हो।
• परीक्षा की सुरक्षा और पारदर्शिता बनाए रखते हुए बच्चों के सम्मान की पूर्ण रक्षा सुनिश्चित की जाए।

भारत केवल परीक्षा परिणामों से महान नहीं बनेगा, बल्कि तब महान बनेगा जब उसकी बेटियाँ और बच्चे सम्मान के साथ आगे बढ़ सकेंगे।

किसी भी परीक्षा से बड़ा एक विद्यार्थी का आत्मसम्मान होता है।
