@BillBuffalino The tactics in 1st half seemed to be GK/CB punt long and hope we can win 2nd balls. Robinson coming out and saying we missed Lyons winning 2nd balls seems to indicate it was the game plan.
No way players like Duk and Clarkson can play in that.
@James4752546609@FreeNwakali So was McLeish and Alex Ferguson. He was committed to Aberdeen while with us, turned them down while they were a basket case to stay.
Do our managers have to be life long Aberdeen fans?
@_rosscoutts He looked shaky for the first 5-10mins, but I thought he composed himself. His forward distribution and ability to carry the ball forward was a noticeable improvement on what we had.
@DandyDonSF Maybe age caching up with him. Can't see anyone matching his Aberdeen salary so might be hard to exit. Think Cadden is an odd signing. I thought we would bring in a more defensive RB and use Lobban as the attacking option.
@AbzPodcast Still feel we don't quite have the right balance of quality players to control games. Armstrong, Breidl, Smith made an impact. Olysanya should be a last 20 minute "cause havoc" player.
@BillBuffalino@ARedPOV In a situation where you have a player with long term contract and you want to earn a decent transfer fee, I would suggest Robinson's public comments were appropriate.
@air_ingy In Cormacks defence, the strategy has been clear and he has invested to back it up. His biggest mistake was not bringing in an experienced DoF earlier to implement it. Now Lutz has to get it right. No more annual squad rebuilds around managerial replacements.
@Nareystoepoker I think the lack of balance in the squad between "ready now" and "project" players have made some of the individuals look worse than they are. Get a bit more "steel" in the spine of the team with experience of the league would make a big difference.
@RyanCryle This is what happens with manager merry go round and bad recruitment. Buy a bunch of wingers, then change to play wing backs, then get rid of the wingers and no doubt play with wingers next year.
@TheRefsView I have no idea what he's doing or trying to do, but not sure I would class it as violent conduct or excessive force.
The hibs player pausing for a second before flopping to the ground says it all. Not much in it.
@AFCHereWeGo To be fair, you did warn us that Robinson historically was not one for providing a new manager bounce when he took over teams. Not sure Saturday was the time and place for such an experimental lineup with a lot of inexperienced players low in confidence.
@RyanCryle I think he has to take some responsibility for that 1st half. The way we setup gave away far too much space and left inexperienced low confidence players exposed.
