@PaulRob11880584 not sure anyone who has owned a house since Howard would agree - or anyone who received inheritance from a family that owned a house.
The issue with wealth and housing isn’t tax - it’s that there are fewer investment opportunities due tomooor government regulation and policy
@1Swinging_Voter i think they are saying people getting wealthy makes it harder for people less wealthy to compete for housing. So everyone should be less wealthy to make things fairerer!
@Jazzyy_rosee I am surprised ABC didn’t just edit the footage to change the attackers appearance! I mean they do seem to have form for manipulation footage they present to suit their agenda.
@Ausbobsmit So many disparage One Nation - they forget that a very large % of the population is looking to support one nation - so what are they saying about the voters. The legacy politicians have totally forgot they are only in power to oversee the will of the people.
@1Swinging_Voter@australian How can you claim to be saving spending on the NDIS when you are simply pushing the burden onto the state budgets. So the money comes from my right pocket or my left pocket - they are both my pockets.
@TopherField What is it with people. Opinions from ignorant nobody’s. When someone does something nice or good - just say thank you and move on. The mindset of people that nothing is ever good enough largely comes from those who never do anything themselves.
@toy59496 Against = people who create things, build business, build wealth so they dont rely on government
For = people who suck off the government tap
@TMFScottP@StephenCena 25 yrs of labour/liberal - $1.6tn debt, poor education standards, no defence sector, poor energy infrastructure , cracks in the hospital sector, job growth dominated by public service. Not sure doing things the same as before will give us the change we need?
@strangerous10 Monique Ryan won the seat of Kooyong with a 1st pref vote of 34% Liberals with 43%. suspect she will not hold her seat at the next election with the labour and greens preferences likely to be lower
@DrCameronMurray House prices were not the bubble - credit was the bubble and that bubble had an impact on house prices. So if the latest run in house prices is also driven by low credit standards then yes we may be heading towards another credit crash that will impact house prices
@7_jenkinson Tax incentives won’t change the dial at an auction - the person with the most amount of money will win the day. Negative gearing was a benefit , just not the sole reason to invest in property
@QuentinDempster So why did they change CGT on non property ?
Being dishonest about labour’s dishonesty is worse. You are normalising/ legitimising shocking political conduct.
@Ben_Davison1 in 2019, pre GFC, the government collected $508bn and spent $508bn. 2026, labour has planned to spend $788bn. In their 23/24 budget, spending for 25/26 was $50bn less. In what world is this "fixing" anything or responsible spending?
@Ausbobsmit@cjoye How is it that we have a system where the prime Minister is able to be regularly misleading and vague with the truth. Somehow it’s just become accepted we can be lied to from politicians?
