@AureliusGrndl72@CollinRugg There are an estimated 19 to 21 million cases of norovirus in the United States annually and 2,500 outbreaks. The state with the most outbreaks this past norovirus season? The great cruise ship State of Wisconsin.
Healthcare facilities, restaurants & schools are most common.
@jabber_mikey@CrownSenior@Combat_learjet@TimmboM For transoceanic transport of goods, there are two options: cargo ships and cargo planes.
The largest cargo plane carries 640 tons.
The largest container ship carries 240,000 tons.
One ship vs. 375 large cargo planes for the same distance and cargo.
Which pollutes more?
@SAMUELJWEINBERG What defines “poor” anyway? If you always have only what you need and are content and happy, you’re just as well off as Billy Gates in the philosophical sense.
They’re certainly happier than you.
@iowahawkblog I have ten electrics. It’s a fairly eclectic ensemble, yet surprisingly none of them are LP’s or Strats.
I don’t have a favorite. The reason for that is that no matter what, I’m never in a bad mood while playing the guitar. Even with my first guitar that never stayed in tune.
@catturd2 There is a Hurricane tracker layer. When used you select the name of the storm system and “play” the projected path. In the screenshot it shows where Ian will be @ 9:00 Wednesday. You can 📍your location to view projected conditions there as well. Just play with the layers.
@catturd2 I don’t bother watching the weather reports on television for hurricane tracking anymore. I recommend using https://t.co/K10FyMtCiJ (they have an app as well) and it’ll show projected tracking for about eight days. We use it all the time on the merchant ship I’m on. It’s great!
@catturd2 You can view different layers such as projected wind and gust speed and direction, waves, swell, precipitation, etc. They also offer different forecast models. I prefer the ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) model. It seems more accurate in my experience.
