@jasonlk This is very situational, and basically a reversion to the mean where exits and capital are basically hard. It’s not supposed to be easy for anyone to start a company, raise boatloads of money, and flip for a profitable acquihire. Venture building is hard.
@amjLane@chamath@friedberg You get what you pay for these days with international employees. Sure, you can find people willing to work for $5/hr but great people are in high demand internationally now and there are a lot of people willing to pay a premium for someone *great* regardless of where they live.
@Grimezsz Birds exist, airplanes exist. Both can fly. Airplanes can fly further, faster, but they can’t fly across the street and land on your roof and eat bugs in your garden. AI will far surpass us on many dimensions but it will never become human. Maybe Cylon.
@hovinthenorth Maybe sell it to Lego? This could be a whole product line for them. They could even sell Lego branded resin with the standard colors, pliability, etc.
OTOH there are about 100 knockoff companies already that make non-Lego Legos like Mega Blocks, so I suspect you’re fine.
@ZssBecker OpenAI needs to raise $500B in the next year. There is a MASSIVE publicity campaign going on to convince people that 100M+ jobs will be eliminated in the next year. The charlatans are everywhere.
@Aella_Girl@TheMcMullan@douglassmackey@TheMcMullan the methodology is outlined on the website. There is a link at the bottom of the page. To get something representative of the US population you’d have to do a random sampling. For many of the questions (binary) you’d only need a small sample.
