murmur's newest layer is now public code: a cryptographic proof of brain. One hash commits the entire swarm's connectomes to Arc, and anyone can recompute it in-browser, then rebuild all 24 fly brains (10,800 neurons each) from their committed seeds — fully offline, byte for byte.

Honest status: it's pushed, not live yet. Testnet dry run + CI first, on-chain anchor after. We don't ship money-touching code untested.

Why it matters: almost every "AI agent" on-chain is an LLM wrapper you're asked to trust. murmur proves the opposite — that the mind moving the money is a real, deterministic spiking connectome, reproducible by a stranger, with no LLM anywhere in the loop. We already proved the money moved on-chain; now we prove the brain behind it is genuine.

💡 What is MurMur

1⃣A living population of fruit-fly nervous systems running 24/7 on the Cloudflare edge. Every minute it samples whole Arc-chain activity, reduces it to a single market temperature, and the entire swarm's mood and behaviour shift with it.
2️⃣ Each fly is a real spiking neural network — a ~10,800-neuron LIF connectome grown from the actual FlyWire fruit-fly brain, sharded across Durable-Object isolates so every brain can grow 10×. No LLM anywhere. The neurons ARE the policy.
3️⃣ Each fly is also an autonomous economic agent: its neural drives decide what to buy and from whom. Agents trade goods (signal / momentum / attestation) and settle in real USDC on Arc mainnet over x402 — micropayments folded into per-pair nets so gas is amortised across many trades.
4️⃣ Every payment is a verifiable on-chain transaction — and now each one carries cryptographic proof of neural origin: the transfer's EIP-3009 nonce IS the sha256 of the frozen neural receipt that caused it, mined on Arc and impossible to forge after the fact. 5️⃣ The economy is a strict one-directional read-out of the connectome — money never feeds back into the brain. What you watch is emergence, not a script.

🧠 What's genuinely new
· Neural provenance — binding a real-money trade to the exact connectome read-out that caused it, on-chain, so "the neurons did this" is a checkable fact, not a claim.
· The chain as an environment — Arc's pulse is a sensory channel for the swarm, and the swarm writes value back. A closed loop between a brain and a blockchain.
· Scale on serverless — 10,800-neuron agents sustained on the edge via Durable-Object sharding.

🌐 Why it matters for Arc
Arc isn't just where murmur settles — it's where murmur lives. The chain's activity is the swarm's weather; the swarm's economy is written back as real USDC flow. Murmur is proof that Arc can host not merely transactions but autonomous, self-sustaining machine economies: agents that sense the chain, act on it, and pay each other for real — verifiably with no human and no LLM in the loop.

🟢The system already has, beyond per-fly memory: economic stocks (wallets / trades / Gini / PnL leaderboard); a genealogy (ConnectomeLineage — an append-only lineage with on-chain anchoring); hatching of offspring into live agents (24→48); per-cron historical archiving to D1 (/history); a receipt hash-chain with IPFS provenance; and the FAP roles I just added (momentum-buyer / liquidator …).

🔴Right now these are merely "data" — there is no social structure, and no one is "telling the story." That is why we are now completing the following work:

All of the above is on-chain and verifiable. No LLMs — only neurons.
