@irida_eth @leemhoffman @mdudas No firm IRS guidance yet but typically it would be reported as the USD amount when you make the sale/mint and receive ETH. Same would go for royalties until more guidance.

When you convert ETH to USD you would then have another taxable event.

@leemhoffman @mdudas it depends on how they set up their entity. If its set up as a C-corp they may deduct capital losses only to the extent of capital gains for tax year.

Selling NFTs typically is ordinary income and that cannot be offset by capital (eth) loss. Only eth gains offset by eth loss.
