@ThierryBorgeat Here is the thing everyone misses on the SpaceX IPO - Elon locked the offer price at $135 - no float prior to the offer being priced - I don't believe that is the case for any other company. In most cases, hyped demand raises IPO offering price leaving more retraction room.
This makes a lot of sense to try to get a look at the heat shield after re-entry - the roll seemed intentional based on the gimbal positioning. The explosion comes from the header tanks, and if they had done the Raptor relight, it's possible it may have stayed intact a bit longer.
The corporate world built a religion around one lie.
That leadership is separable from understanding.
That you can run a machine you cannot read.
Musk: “At SpaceX, almost all my time is spent on engineering and design.”
Not strategy meetings. Not press tours. Not optics.
The weeds.
Musk: “If you don’t understand something at a detailed level, you cannot make a decision.”
If you need someone to translate the problem, you are not the decision-maker.
The translator is.
You are a rubber stamp with a corner office.
We built an entire economy rewarding people who speak in abstractions.
Strategy. Synergy. Alignment.
Physics does not care about synergy.
When the rocket is on the pad, the org chart does not matter.
The metallurgy does.
If you do not know where the alloy fails, you are not leading.
You are guessing with authority.
Most executives are operating on secondhand information.
Playing telephone with reality.
When you delegate the understanding, you forfeit the outcome.
They call it micromanagement.
It is the opposite.
When you understand the work, you know which failures matter and which ones are the price of moving fast.
The executive who cannot read the metal panics at every setback.
So he punishes it.
And the moment you punish failure, your team stops reaching.
They do not stop because they are lazy.
They stop because they are rational.
Nobody takes the shot when missing costs them everything.
You do not build rockets with a workforce optimizing for job security.
The further you get from the metal, the faster the company rots.
The era of the spreadsheet executive is over.
The future does not belong to the person with the best summary.
It belongs to the one who never needed one.
@alexlindsay Any advice on VFX internships for the summer? My son is a student at SCAD in ATL and currently looking for opportunities and doing applications. Hope you are enjoying Apple - you are missed on MBW.

@jessica_kirsh They are out there. This one is a prior rental, no accident history, 105k mi The key is to run the diagnostics on battery health when checking it out. If that is reasonable for the total current charge capacity, then it should be good.

@VivekGRamaswamy@elonmusk 100% However, there are more dimensions to this statistic and graph. The US healthcare billing and reimbursement process drives a significant amount of inefficiency and cost seen here.
Medicare serves as the base of the process and rules, with commercial insurance companies following and expanding the complexity. They use this to reduce claim payment to providers. Medicare reimbursement continues to fall and providers must rely on commerciality insured patients to fill the gap.
This cycle forces providers to increase administrative support just to bill and colllect payment for services already provided, leading to higher operating cost. Meanwhile, the premiums US employers and employees are paying keep rising faster than provider reimbursement.
This is an entire area for @DOGE to explore which impacts every single person in the country as well as the efforts of @realRFKJr. Let’s talk.
@Erdayastronaut@Erdayastronaut So excited to see it as well. The community around SpaceX and Starship is amazing. Was nice to meet you. Keep up the great work!
