@SarahNosew13582 This is a great point Sarah! Just like anything, their will be an adjustment period to workout certain kinks. At this point in time the service may not be perfect, but I remain hopeful that it will grow and expand into a more comprehensive service! #pharm4420
@woodfordsarah Agreed! this is an exciting new way to help fill the gaps of our healthcare system. We will now have another option to refer patients to when a physician or pharmacist is inaccessible to them. We're living in the future and it is only going to get better! #pharm4420
@legge_madison As an integral part of the care team, I could not agree more. The time is now for pharmacists to not only expand their scope of practice, but also to expand their services to a virtual medium. Pharmacists are the most accessible HCP, virtual services will just solidify that!
Every thing now has an app or website, why shouldn't it be the same for healthcare. Pharmacists and Physicians working in tandem with virtual services can only benefit our NL communities especially when about 26% of people do not have a family physician. #pharm4420
@TAYkeYourDrugs As a supporter of women myself I am absolutely thrilled with this choice of medication to begin the pharmacare program with. A huge day indeed. A step in the right direction for pharmacy advocacy and for women as well.
@legge_madison@FriendlyPharm1@pharmstudem Completely agreed. I have heard patients refer to their Atrovent as "their golden inhaler" because they could hardly afford. I am hopeful to see other chronic conditions covered as pharmacists can help to navigate these conditions so well.
We've never been in a brighter present than now. Pharmacare will make life for pharmacists and patients so much easier. The real question is how long will it take to implement? Healthcare in Canada is drowning, hopefully this will help us float. #PHARM4420
@SpurrellFrank#HKR1000 Great observation, while our workload and stress continue to build, there should be no shame in taking time away from your stressor to employ some self care. It becomes increasingly important to take of ourselves as we endure a global pandemic and remote learning.
#HKR1000 While completing daily moody checks I have learned that I am happiest when with friends and family and when I feel like I’m on top of my studies. Every Sunday, making a schedule for the week with designated time slots, makes managing all the stress in my life easier.
@Mackenz04895279#HKR1000 Mental Health can have an inverse effect on physical health. That’s why it is so important to become mentally healthy during a pandemic. By staying informed and doing activities that relieve your stress, you are improving your overall wellness and staying safer.
#HKR1000 https://t.co/gMxi1ya8OF This article explains the benefits of flexibility and regular stretching. This physical component is often overlooked but is just as important as strength and endurance training. Essential to reduce injury and improve physical performance.
@RebeccaPurchas3 #HKR1000 agreed, it becomes important to consider physical wellness and the inverse relationship it has with stress and anxiety management. I know for me and many others exercise and becoming physically fit help to alleviate the stress of our lives as young adults and students.
#HKR1000 On our first lab, we subceeded my expectations for the nutrition category at a low (56.8%). It may be difficult to eat the proper qualities and quantities of food day to day, but we must strive to eat properly as it is a key component for all of our other wellness groups
