@RupertLowe10@Keir_Starmer There are some truly ridiculous replies to this post. It’s about e-gates and easy border crossings: trivial stuff that makes people’s lives better. It has nothing whatsoever to do with handing over Gibraltar’s sovereignty. And bears no comparison with Chagos.
@EHChalus@BBCr4today Tremendously exasperating ... particularly the habit of thanking me for my company ... and trying to summarise the content of interviews at the end ... among many other tics and trials.
@katelamble A very silly @BBC mistake - so frustrating to hear this. I have appreciated your work so much over the years, and I'm sure swapping out one of the highest-paid stars could fund you, and many more, with comparable dedication and insight. Your Grenfell work was outstanding.
@StagecoachSE I can’t find the update on that page when I enter Canterbury or Whitstable as the location. Will I be able to get from Cant -> Whit at 1945 tonight?
@USAinUK SOLVED. If anyone else is troubled by this - I fixed it by using the EDGE browser on my Mac. It doesn't seem to work on Chrome, despite what the guidance says.
@USAinUK I have now filled in the D-160 form online three times and lost ALL the information I entered each time. I diligently saved my information on each screen, but retrieving with application ID it says "matching data not found" every time. Is there a fault? Can you help?

@ikigaibook is a brilliant book by Héctor García and Hector Miralles about the values and behaviours behind some of the longest-lived people in Japan. My interview with Héctor:

It’s time to retire the word retirement, best-selling author Héctor García tells @jphollow on the #TEBI Podcast.
Finishing full-time work, he says, is a chance to live the life you’ve always wanted.

@dpcarrington@CoveringClimate @amywestervelt @mankabTOI @guardian Fabulous Mr Carrington! Proud to know you all these years and see your work so widely read and appreciated.
@Se_Railway Is the 1420 from St Pancras to Whitstable disrupted? I received a Southeastern email telling me it is, but this doesn’t seem to match your published changes.
@USAinUK - do you happen to know of any shop in central London that sells current mint USPS stamps? I need them for an SAE I wish to send to the United States.
Back after a relaxing, restorative summer break with a new episode of The Extraordinary Business Book Club #podcast!
If you want a comfortable #retirement, it’s up to you to put the thinking and the work in. And the sooner the better. Financial journalist @RobinJPowell counters the misinformation and cuts through the jargon in How to Fund the Life you Want (with @jphollow).
