All patients get screening questionnaire in clinic and high risk get vanco and ancef at surgery. For hip fractures I do screen them when they hit the door per our hip fx protocol.

Stem came out when when knocking the head off -> anterior based osteotomy to get the cement out and converted to fluted tapered stem. Hard not to ream these straight stems in some varus with anterior based approach

With the typical varus knee and unworn posterior condyles, you will set your resection to 8 mm medial and lateral ( 2mm cartilage / 6 mm bone.
