@imstartingover1@GAFollowers A historically black university shouldn't exist? It's historically black. What are you going to do? Change history? Also white people can go so you can't even whine about reverse discrimination.
You are asking citizens who are born here, who have grown up here, for whom this is the only home they have ever known, to *not* exercise the rights accorded to them and internalize a sense of 2nd class status because their *parents* are immigrants.
No self-respecting person would tolerate the insult and you are lying if you would.
The *only* possible outcome of your "request" is that such people will learn to hate you and their country by extension. This is the opposite of integration, it is exacerbating an already bad situation.
I don't see how this can be understood as anything other than a gift to the political Left, with no possible benefit to the Right.
Here's how stupid this Heritage American bullshit is.
Earlier this week, I was stuck at a hotel in small town Ohio. I tried for 2 hours to get an Uber to the local airfield. Finally a guy in a pickup truck sees me sitting on the curb and gives me a ride.
He is a wind turbine mechanic from Texas. I thank him and offer him gas money. He says no, he just likes paying it forward; he figures that way someone will help his wife or daughter when they need it. His mother calls from Texas and they converse in Spanish. He is Hispanic.
A few days later in a small town in Kansas, I am walking from the airfield to a hotel. A guy in a truck stops and picks me up.
He is in uniform. Army National Guard, with an 18th Airborne Corps combat patch from Iraq in 2018. His truck is full of duck hunting gear. He is a black guy from Chicago.
I would stand beside either one of those guys in a minute, over any of these morons claiming they inherit some kind of status from their ancestors.
Character ain't hereditary, and it sure ain't racial.
A French writer explained the error in 1850. A Nobel economist repeated it in a Pennsylvania lecture hall in 1978. Governments still make it every year. Almost nobody watches the clip.
This is Milton Friedman on the parable of the broken window, the oldest mistake in economics.
The trick is that the destruction is visible and the cost is not. You see the glazier get paid. You never see what the shopkeeper would have bought instead.
Watch how he sets it up before he names the fallacy. He lets the audience agree with the wrong answer first.
176 years of warnings. Still the most persuasive bad idea in politics.
Booking Tony Robbins today costs $1 million for a single day. this is a 21-minute tape from inside his own house, filmed over 30 years ago, where he breaks down exactly how to get anyone to say yes. same $1 million material. completely free.
this is a rare, unfiltered tape from decades before this man started charging billionaires just to be in the room with him.
people give you two excuses when they say no, he says. not enough time. not enough money. neither is true. the real reason is they don't believe it's worth it yet, and that's not a money problem, that's a state problem.
so he teaches something he calls attack and confess. instead of arguing with the objection, you confess your own. "I had a chance to go to this thing six months ago and I didn't go until two months ago," he tells the room. "I can't even imagine the time I lost." the room goes quiet. nobody argues back.
he calls it getting someone on the yes train. every small yes you get compounds into the next one, until saying no to the final ask feels harder than saying yes. by the time he asks someone to sign, he says, they've already agreed to it five times over without realizing it.
21 minutes. that's all it takes to walk away knowing the exact two moves people pay $1 million a day to learn: how to read anyone's state, and how to move it. most people spend years in sales guessing at this. he wrote it down on a flip chart in his living room in under half an hour.
a seat in that room cost $125 back then. today it's a $1 million-a-day to sit in front of him.
The tape is free right now, and the answer is in this video.
A man who went to prison for talking people out of their money filmed himself doing it live, then sold the method as a course. 7 million people have watched him work.
The man is Jordan Belfort. The film about him made him famous. What almost nobody has done is watch the real one, on camera, running the actual technique on a real prospect for 22 minutes with no script and no edit.
And the way he does it is the reason to watch.
He barely talks about the product. The first minutes are almost entirely questions, and every answer gets used against the person later in his own words. He is not persuading. He is collecting.
Then the phrase the comments turned into a meme. He ends his key sentences with four words that make agreement feel like the neutral option and refusal feel like rudeness. Once you notice it, you cannot unhear it, and you will catch it in the next call you take.
One viewer broke the whole method into 9 steps in a comment. It got 12 thousand likes, which tells you people are studying this video like a manual.
Here is the uncomfortable part. Every technique in it is ordinary sales advice: listen, mirror, remove friction, set expectations. That is exactly what makes it worth studying. The tools were never the crime. The intent was.
Learn what is being done to you and it stops working on you. That is the only defense there is.
22 minutes. No script. It is in the video.
🚨 BOOM: Elon Musk amplifies the moment Sec. Marco Rubio said it PERFECTLY on communists and leftist terrorists
"One of the criticisms you sometimes hear of communism is that it 'sounds good in theory, but it never works in practice.' That's actually NOT TRUE. Communism does NOT sound good in theory. The world that envisions for all of us is small, flat, gray, leveled of all exception, drained of all that is good and noble in the human soul."
"The world communism envisions is a world without God."
"[Leftist terrorism] is a revolt of the worst against the best, a revolt of the weak and the cowardly against the strong and the good."
"It is perpetrated by those who cannot build, who cannot create, who cannot achieve great things and take their revenge upon the world for their own inadequacy by seeking to destroy those who can!"
"The fundamental character is always the same. It's always the same. It is a poisonous resentment cloaked in the language of equality and justice and liberation and overwhelming need to tear down what greater men have built, to wreck what is beautiful and what is right on behalf of people who are only filled with ugliness and have nothing else to offer the world."
"Through violence and through terror, they once again seek to impose their ugliness on all of us. The old dogma was wrong. The old dogma was wrong. None of this is driven by idealism. It is not utopian."

#SundayWisdom from Michael Crichton:
“There’s nothing more sobering than a 30-year-old newspaper.”
Flip through old headlines and you’ll find no shortage of apocalyptic predictions and existential crises that have long since faded into obscurity.
The media amplifies fear because fear captures attention – but it only works if we’re willing to consume the news uncritically. A prosperous society depends on citizens who can distinguish between genuine threats and manufactured hysteria.
Resist panic, think clearly, and remember that fear is one of the easiest things in the world to sell.
