@Tri_Stanisaurus Austinite here and they're right. You've got Southwest and the legacy carriers flying to their hubs. Not terrible, but not a real international airport, either. London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt (aside from a couple of destinations in Mexico) are all we got. Nothing to Asia.

@20th_Centurygal The Pretenders, UCSD Gym, 1980 or so. They'd graduated to an arena-size sound system by the time they got to SD on their tour, but honored their commitment to play the much smaller UCSD Gym. With that sound system. Couldn't hear at all after the show, and not much the next day.

@Jimi_Stella I've seen Bobby somewhere around 350 times. With the Grateful Dead, 250 or so. With Ratdog, 50 or so. With The Dead, The Other Ones and Dead & Company, another 50 or so. Plus his first ever solo gig (at the Julia Morgan Theater in Berkeley) and a Bobby and the Midnites show.

#huluhaslivemusic Well, shucks. Sabrina was a disgrace. 90% lip synced, a disaster of a Shania sit-in, and no Taylor -- which Hulu, Sabrina and ACL Live knew in advance, and lied by omission by allowing the rumors to goose interest in the show. You all should be ashamed.
