We are continuing to recruit for this ongoing study investigating the impact of psychedelic use on behavioral addictions.
Please consider completing this survey if you qualify. I am also conducting an optional semi-structured interview to learn more from certain participants.
Have you struggled with a behavioral addiction and taken a psychedelic substance in the past? We are seeking individuals to participate in a research study looking into the effects of psychedelics on a number of addictive behaviors including problems with gambling, video gaming, internet/social media, pornography and other sexual behaviors, and shopping and buying behaviors. This is a map of repetition among all symptoms in the DSM-5.
The majority of symptoms are found across disorders, yet we treat them as separate entities.
ISRP always puts on a great conference, and this one will be no different! Abstract submissions have been extended to Oct 31st.

Announcing the launch of a new study here at the CPCR! This study will test whether two substances often referred to as psychedelics — psilocybin & MDMA — can address PTSD symptoms and improve quality of life. Participants will receive guided dosing sessions, professional psychological support, and follow-ups over several months. If you’re a veteran living with PTSD, you may be eligible to take part in this important research. Please share widely to whoever may be eligible and interested in participating.

Looking forward to next week's Gordon Research Conference. This will be my first time presenting an emerging transdiagnostic model of psychedelic therapy with a primary focus on evidence-based psychotherapy. In this model, psychedelics are conceptualized as ...
Thrilled to connect at the Neurobiology of Psychedelics Gordon Research Conference (@GordonConf) next week! CPCR researchers and fellow scientists will discuss wide range of topics, including preclinical and clinical research, drug discovery, and neuroplasticity.
Last week, CPCR researchers Drs. Fred Barrett, Brandon Weiss, David Yaden, and Sandeep Nayak met with the PATH Caucus (led by @RepLouCorrea and @RepJackBergman) on Capitol Hill. In a vibrant meeting of oral presentations and Q&A, Drs. Barrett and Weiss shared their scientific findings signaling the potential for Psilocybin Therapy to be a rapid-acting, efficacious, safe, and tolerable tool for treating PTSD, alcohol use disorder, and depression among military Veterans and other Americans. We thank the PATH Caucus for their great advocacy for research on psychedelic therapy and Veteran health, and for including us in their mission.
