@AmericanAir Reviving this thread to say it’s not just @AmericanAir DCA<>ORD flights, but ORD<>LGA, too! Forced to gate check only to board and see multiple open bins. Why?!?!?

.@AmericanAir sorry to be a Karen about this but two flights in a row (DCA<->ORD) of being forced to gate check bag (in final boarding group) due to “absolutely no overhead space” only to board and walk past multiple empty overhead bins. Feels weird!

@AmericanAir Checking in from yet another @AmericanAir DCA->ORD flight! My regulation size carry on bag was yet again gate checked. Overhead bins right above me AND right across? Fully empty! On the bright side, my entire row is also fully empty. See this thread next time!
