BREAKING: The Congressional Budget Office drops a jaw-dropping report revealing that Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” will add $3.4 trillion to the national debt over the coming decade.

And it gets so much worse…

The report also states that the legislation will “increase by 10 million the number of people without health insurance” by 2034. Thanks to Republicans slashing $1 trillion from Medicaid funding, countless Americans will die or see their quality of life drastically decreased due to treatable illnesses and medical conditions.

The bill passed along party lines without a single vote of Democratic support and was designed specifically to funnel even more wealth to the super-rich and the corporations that the MAGA movement exists to serve. Average Americans will suffer so that billionaires can afford a few more mega-yachts.

The bill pumps billions of dollars into ICE for more fascist crackdowns and detainment centers that resemble concentration camps more and more with each passing day. It also slashes SNAP benefits that help low-income families buy groceries to survive and guts funding for clean energy.

While the bill cuts $1.1 trillion in spending, largely from programs that help average Americans, it also decreases revenue by $4.5 trillion thanks to the unnecessary, plutocratic tax cuts. It is no exaggeration to say that the “big, beautiful bill” will go down as one of the most damaging pieces of legislation in American history.

This is all out class warfare by right-wing elites on working Americans and it’s rendered all the more perverse by the fact that Republicans claim to be the party of “fiscal responsibility.” In practice, they have absolutely no problem skyrocketing the debt so long as the deficit spending goes towards tax cuts for the rich and military spending for endless wars.

BREAKING: The Senate Parliamentarian becomes MAGA's public enemy #1 after she takes a blowtorch to Donald Trump's "big, beautiful bill" and strips out several key provisions — including ones related to the border.

This woman is single-handedly saving our country from Republicans...

"There is no better way to define this Big Beautiful Betrayal of a bill than families lose, and billionaires win. Democrats are on the side of families and workers and are scrutinizing this bill piece by piece to ensure Republicans can’t use the reconciliation process to force their anti-worker policies on the American people," stated Senator Jeff Merkley, ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee.

Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough — who previously ruled that several pieces of the bloated, destructive legislation had to be removed — has now announced that sections that would allow states to conduct border "security" and immigration enforcement must be taken out. Such duties traditionally fall under the purview of the federal government.

Once again, MacDonough has said that the provisions she's targeting run afoul of the Byrd Rule, which puts restrictions on what can be included in reconciliation bills. If the bill is to be passed on a simple majority vote, they must be removed.

"The Byrd Rule is enshrined in law for a reason, and Democrats are making sure it is enforced,” said Senator Merkley.

Additionally, MacDonough ruled against a section which increases the size of contributions to the Federal Employees Retirement Systems that civil servants must make if they refuse to become at-will employees.

Perhaps best of all, she advised against a section that would permit the executive branch to dramatically reorganize or even entirely eliminate agencies without congressional oversight — something that the Trump administration is desperate to do with numerous agencies including the Department of Education. Ultimately, Republicans want to slash away at the federal government until there's nothing left to protect Americans from total corporate rule.

While the war to kill this bill is far from over, victories like this should be celebrated.

BREAKING: Donald Trump gets caught in a jaw-dropping scandal as it's revealed that he pardoned a man who pleaded guilty to tax crimes just one month after his mother attended a $1 million a head MAGA fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago.

And it gets so much worse...

According to a new report from The New York Times, a pardon application was submitted for Paul Walczak around the time of Trump's inauguration. The request specifically mentioned actions by his mother, Elizabeth Fago, to support Trump and the Republican Party.

The request also absurdly claimed that Walczak's prosecution was the result of a political witch hunt. In reality, he pleaded guilty to failing to pay employment taxes and not filing individual income tax returns. He withheld a staggering $7.5 million from his workers but did not pay them to the IRS.

Like so many right-wingers (Trump included) he believes that he's entitled to cheat the system while the rest of us dutifully pay our taxes.

Walczak was sentenced to 18 months in prison, two years of supervised release, and ordered to pay over $4 million in restitution. Now that he's been pardoned, he will be spared that jail time and will no longer have to pay the fees. Justice has been derailed.

Some time after the pardon application was submitted, Fago attended a fundraising dinner at Mar-a-Lago with a ticket price of $1 million per person. Throwing all subtlety to the wind, Trump then proceeded to pardon Walczak less than three weeks later.

Fago also helped host at least three Trump campaign fundraisers and attended events at both of his inaugurations. Some reports suggest that she was connected to the right-wing smear campaign to leak the diary of Joe Biden's daughter in 2020.

This is blatant quid pro quo and the kind of thing that would have led to any other president being impeached and removed from office. With Trump, it's unfortunately par for the course.
