⚠️ College baseball just told you the truth.
The average fastball velocity in the 2026 NCAA Regionals field is now 90.8 MPH.
Wake Forest leads the field at 94.4 MPH.
If you’re still sitting 82-87 and hoping recruiters will overlook velocity, you’re betting against the data.
Velocity isn’t everything…
But velocity gets you noticed.
The difference today isn’t genetics.
It’s training.
The pitchers making jumps are developing:
✅ Elite biomechanics
✅ Ground force production
✅ Rotational power
✅ Arm speed efficiency
✅ Recovery and durability
That’s exactly why we built the 3X Velocity Camp.
Over the last 18+ years, Top Velocity has helped thousands of athletes add velocity through a science-based system combining biomechanics, Olympic lifting, mobility, power development, and AI performance analysis. The program has helped develop 100+ MLB Draft Picks and athletes who have reached 90, 95, and even 100+ MPH.
The question isn’t whether velocity matters anymore.
The question is:
How much longer are you willing to stay where you are?
🚨 Limited spots available for upcoming 3X Velocity Camps in Louisiana.

Unfortunately,
Many hitting coaches these days are unknowingly teaching the natural adjustability and athleticism out of hitters in an attempt to create the perfect swing. If a hitter’s “swing” can’t adjust naturally and athletically, you’re making the hitter worse… even though they might “look better” off a tee or soft toss.

Forty years in this game. Here is what I have learned about the families who navigate it best.
They are not the ones with the biggest budgets. They are not the ones with the most connections. They are the ones who decided early that this is a forty-year decision, and started behaving accordingly.
They turn down the showcase that does not fit the plan. They pass on the travel team that promises exposure for a price. They put their son in front of honest evaluators instead of marketing departments.
They are not chasing baseball. They are building a man who happens to play it.
The trophy is the relationship you have with your son when he is thirty.
Pitch counts are only one piece of monitoring workload during the high school season.
There is a difference between a pitcher throwing a 90-pitch complete game with no inning over 20 pitches and a pitcher throwing 70 pitches in three high-stress innings.
Stress innings, recovery time, sleep, arm readiness, throwing volume, and how the athlete feels all matter.
The velocity progression is supposed to be gradual.
Example
9th-79-81
10th-82-84
11th-85-87
12th-88-90
Then continue climbing in college.
It's how injury risk is reduced drastically.
Learn to control it. Learn to command it.
Then add velocity.
Long Toss, The Weight Room, Caloric Intake.
One toxic player can poison the whole dugout.
One bad attitude can shatter team chemistry.
A few selfish egos can destroy culture overnight.
A couple of bad apples can wreck work ethic, focus, and trust.
It takes an ENTIRE team grinding together to build something special to win championships…
…but it only takes a FEW to burn it all down.

Parents
If your son isn't in the weight room and busting his ass to be the best baseball player and athlete he can be on a daily basis.
Stop paying for travel ball and lessons and simply save for college.
So many have Zero Feel about college baseball. Parents talk about D1 like it’s realistic for everyone. It’s not, rosters are older, deeper, and cut faster than ever. If you don’t dominate where you are, you won’t survive there. Coaches want to win now not later.
Learning to move forward while staying back is one of the most challenging things to communicate to young pitchers.🤔
Watch Wheeler drift under control without losing the rear leg (move forward), then ride that back hip tension, keeping the head back into landing (stay back).

Baseball Players
BELIEVE you are the best player on the field at all times.. not cocky but confident in your abilities ‼️
It's impossible to be successful at baseball when you're not confident.
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF 💯
He does this before every start, but watch #Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto play long toss before the biggest start of his MLB career. He throws it from the warning track in center field to the right field line with ease, while his throwing partner has to send it back on a bounce. #WorldSeries
