Fehlentscheidungen, Niederlagen oder ein verschossener Elfmeter gehören nun einmal zum Sport dazu. Rassismus hat jedoch weder im Sport noch in unserer Gesellschaft irgendeinen Platz. Wer einen Nationalspieler aufgrund seiner Herkunft angreift, greift nicht nur den Menschen Jonathan Tah an, sondern verletzt auch die Werte von Fairness, Respekt und Zusammenhalt, für die der Sport stehen sollte.

Besonders beeindruckend ist die Haltung von Jonathan Tah. Mit den Worten „Ich würde beim nächsten Mal wieder schießen. Ich glaube, es ist wichtig, Verantwortung zu übernehmen.“ zeigt er Größe, Charakter und Verantwortung – Eigenschaften, die für unsere Gesellschaft vorbildlich sind.

Die deutsche Nationalmannschaft steht für Vielfalt. Spielerinnen und Spieler mit unterschiedlichen Wurzeln tragen gemeinsam das Trikot Deutschlands und repräsentieren unser Land mit Stolz und Leidenschaft. Diese Vielfalt ist eine Stärke und kein Anlass für Hass.

Die Kurdische Gemeinde Deutschland erklärt sich solidarisch mit Jonathan Tah und allen von Rassismus Betroffenen. Wir fordern ein konsequentes Vorgehen gegen rassistische Hetze – im Stadion, im Internet und überall dort, wo Menschen aufgrund ihrer Herkunft diskriminiert werden.
