@rblackqc Professor Black, do you have an email where I could write you? I’m a lawyer in Syracuse, NY, who studied the Lockerbie bombing as an undergraduate at Syracuse University. Please direct message me an email address id available.
First Marathon. Not possible, or otherwise severely uncomfortable, without this miracle reference in Born to Run II @ChrisMcDougall, and my willing masseuse @jrrodgers13! 🏃♂️
WOW! THIS IS HUGE! New study by @AdrianSotoMota -Meta analysis of 41 randomized controlled trials on low carb diets show that the SATURATED FAT has almost no impact on LDL levels but rather being lean with low BMI was the major driving factor! This is absolutely groundbreaking data!! https://t.co/TLxWpNljLg

@DrCaseysKitchen @calleymeans I am a lawyer/public policy trained person with an undergrad in nutrition. I believe metabolic health could be the bi-partisan issue of the next 50 years. I want to get involved and interested for perspectives on where.

In 2023, I had the chance to meet 2 famous people. Should clarify “famous” if you’re read about issues of health & nutrition. Read below 👇 ⬇️ 👇

I think of this passage often for perspective and a laugh:
“Look I got some bad news,” he [Eric] said. “You’re not going to win, no matter what you do you’re gonna be out there all day. So you might as well relax , take your time, and enjoy it.”
@BornToRunCoach
A lot of good ones, I’d have to say the best was “Born to Run.”
Late to the party as it’s been a best seller for a while, but I learned a lot, was challenged, and my attention was captured by an inspiring story. @ChrisMcDougall
I Challenge you to do TWO things moving into 2024:
•Start each day writing 3 things you’re grateful for & spend 30 seconds praying/meditating over your blessings.
•If you ever complain follow it with gratitude.
-Traffic sucks, BUT I’M GRATEFUL FOR MY CAR.
-Doing dishes sucks, BUT I’M GRATEFUL THAT WE HAVE FOOD.
Reprogram your brain to be happy, focus on blessings & see life through a lens of gratitude!
Do this 6 months & it’ll change your entire life! 🙏
@brady_h Sometimes I wonder if hype over randomized control studies in nutrition is overblown. No one eats in isolation. If vegetarian participants might also tend to practice health behaviors like not smoking, moderating alcohol intake, and regular exercise.” —Yeah. Sounds good.
