@kierang3573@bballbreakdown This just isn’t true because the referees do not give the ball to the Spurs before the opposing team is set in dead ball scenarios. How can the Spurs rush something that isn’t in their control?
@kierang3573@bballbreakdown When the ball is live, yes. When it’s a dead ball, the referees allow for substitutions and for teams to get set before handing the ball over to the player. Theres a difference between inbounds after a made shot and inbounds after the ball goes out of bounds or a foul.
@kierang3573@bballbreakdown Miscommunication on whether the substitution was illegal or not is what was in dispute. Spurs can substitute on a dead ball, refs shouldn’t have allowed the inbound to happen.
@kierang3573@bballbreakdown Spurs don’t have their defense set as a direct consequence of the referees miscommunication. If you don’t see or understand that you’re delusional and idk what to tell you.
@kierang3573@bballbreakdown Do the Knicks have a wide open 3 if the Spurs are ready to play instead of thinking it’s a dead ball? It’s beneficial to the Knicks if the refs allow their error to impact the game.
No flagrant upgrade on the uncalled foul of Spurs' Victor Wembanyama to Knicks' Jalen Brunson on Monday night, a league spokesperson tells ESPN. Wembanyama will stay at two flagrant points in postseason.
Closer look 🔍
Jalen Brunson appears to have a hidden fistful of Victor Wembanyama’s jersey, while attempting to pin him in place.
Wembanyama reacts by swatting him away, and the chain reaction ends with Stephon Castle catching contact in the face while Brunson hits the deck. 👀
