Great reminder on @nytimes The Daily Podcast: "Observe. Learn. Improve." I'd like to challenge my students to be "incredible" at this cycle. @jack promotes that this focus can help us do "the right things no matter what challenges we are facing." https://t.co/GH1VKqjvMm.
Ride along the Slovenian coast: vineyards, farms, mountain tunnels, ice cream, and a nice swim at the end. A great day! @ Parenzana https://t.co/zPR95ks4Zu
Analyzing student work is a critical but often overlooked step in the unit design process. Renewed excitement to dig into student's #NGSS assessments our @aisbudapest sci team has designed this year. @paulandersen on @ngsnavigators https://t.co/ZHW7oJpGEV
Of the the 1.8 million bachelor's degrees awarded in 2015–16, about 331,000 (18%) were in #STEM fields. #Inquiry based science intrigues new potential STEMers while developing what we want in 100% of students: wonderers, thinkers, problem solvers. #NGSS#edchat#pbl
@mrjbourque For sure @mrjbourque! This example takes the pressure off in more ways than one. Anything that gets students wondering in the direction we are planning to take instruction and that the class can refer back to throughout the unit can be anchoring.
So proud of our students sharing honest perspectives about homework and grades with experts in education. Learning at a whole new level at #ELMLEBudapest!
Nice work, @AAS_Moscow students! Excited to see one of our sister schools making this kind of commitment to being single-use #plasticfree. Looking forward to what might be possible at our school next year! @AISBConnect @CEESAorg
Today was a very special day. I had the pleasure of announcing that @AAS_Moscow will be single-use plastic free starting in Aug. This was a shift that felt unthinkable before but thanks to the perseverance of our MS students, it was accomplished. This is courageous and right.
“We actually learn in a state of positive emotion much more effectively than we can learn in a state of negative emotion. That has huge implications for what we do in schools," said @LDH_ed to @edutopia https://t.co/HUOwkaZAY2 #edchat#brainbased#teaching
@mrjbourque my name is Joel Scanga, MS science teacher at AIS Budapest. Can you please DM me when you get a chance. I wanted to ask about your registration for the upcoming job-a-like.
Congratulations to the Budapest Blazers for taking first place at the 2018 CEESA robotics competition in Warsaw, Poland. Teamwork, hard work, positive attitudes and a little luck helped… https://t.co/ledDLaaH78
