Jesus asked Peter three times, "Do you love me?" When Peter said yes, Jesus replied, "Feed my sheep." Our calling is no different.
If you truly love Jesus, your job is to take care of His flock. You are called to guide others to Him and strengthen your brothers and sisters in Christ.
Once you give your life to Jesus, growing His Kingdom becomes your new mission.
1st Corinthians lays out the blueprint for the Church. Jesus Christ is the only foundation.
We all have different jobs. Some plant the seed, and some water it, but God is the only one who makes it grow.
Stop comparing your role to someone else's. Just do the specific job God gave you.
We are not in competition. We are coworkers building the exact same temple.
Stop the quarreling and start acting like one family.
Pope Leo XIV during final Mass of his trip to Cameroon: "Jesus is with us always," "Do not be afraid!"
"Throughout the ages, the Church has navigated many storms and 'strong winds.' We too can identify with the feelings of fear and doubt experienced by the disciples while crossing the lake of Tiberias.
Such is our experience in moments when we seem to be sinking, overcome by adverse forces, when everything appears bleak and we feel alone and weak.
But it is not so. Jesus is with us always, stronger than any power of evil. In every storm, he comes to us and repeats: 'I am here with you: do not be afraid.' This is why we can get up again after every fall, not allowing ourselves to be stopped by any tempest. Rather we go forward always with courage and trust."

Pope Leo, at the Ngul Zamba Orphanage: "Dear children, I know that many of you have endured difficult trials. Some of you have known the pain of loss through the death of parents or loved ones. Others have experienced fear, rejection, abandonment, deprivation and uncertainty. Yet, you are called to a future that is greater than your wounds. You are bearers of a promise. For wherever there is misery, suffering or injustice, God is present; and he knows each of your faces and is very close to you. The Gospel reminds us that Jesus cares especially for children like you, and he would often place them at the center of a gathering. Know that he looks upon each one of you today with that same affection."
BREAKING: an extraordinarily rare late Sunday night statement from the President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, His Excellency the Most Reverend Paul Coakley, Archbishop of Oklahoma City.
In the light of #Easter, let us allow ourselves to be amazed by Christ! Let us allow our hearts to be transformed by his immense love for us! Let those who have weapons lay them down! Let those who have the power to unleash wars choose peace! Not a peace imposed by force, but through dialogue! Not with the desire to dominate others, but to encounter them!
Even today there are tombs to be opened, and often the stones sealing them are so heavy and so closely guarded that they seem to be immovable. Some weigh heavily on the human heart, such as mistrust, fear, selfishness and resentment; others, stemming from these inner struggles, sever the bonds between us through war, injustice and the isolation of peoples and nations. Let us not allow ourselves to be paralyzed by them! #Easter
“And going a little further, he fell upon his face, praying, and saying: My Father, if it be possible, let this chalice pass from me. Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”
- Matthew 26:39
I am following with deep concern what is happening in the Middle East and in Iran during this tumultuous time. Stability and peace are not achieved through mutual threats, nor through the use of weapons, which sow destruction, suffering, and death, but only through reasonable, sincere, and responsible dialogue.
The Miracle Prayer
Lord, Jesus, I come before You, just as I am.
I am sorry for my sins,
I repent of my sins,
please forgive me.
In Your name,
I forgive all others for what they have done against me.
I renounce Satan,
the evil spirits and all their works.
I give You my entire self.
Lord Jesus, now and forever,
I invite You into my life Jesus.
I accept You as my Lord and Saviour.
Heal me, change me,
strengthen me in body, soul, and spirit.
Come Lord Jesus,
cover me with Your precious blood,
and fill me with Your Holy Spirit,
I love You, Jesus.
I praise You, Jesus.
I thank You, Jesus.
I shall follow You every day of my life.
Amen.
