@ericweinstein Also, yes. Jackasses will shout loudest when you threaten their livelihood. That said, binary thinking is somehow both the hallmark of neoconservative views and the modern democratic party. If you ask me to opine further, then insisted, well, it is a great car...
@ericweinstein Buddy, you made some bones as a quasi-contrarian with credulity backed up by your resume, but moreso the authenticity of thought and the pretense of cross domain competence.
And here we are, name dropping like bad continental philosophers drifting for subs.
@Polymarket Sorry if that is an unpopular opinion, but the AI tooling is quite a ways from being either creative or capable of having a goal.
They're just slightly better than brand new CS grads at writing code. And even that is largely a consequence of agentic scale, not an intellect.
@Polymarket This is bullshit. Clause did not "breach company networks." This kind of shit keeps getting reported in news but the headline should read:
Cutting edge IT/AI firms have virtually zero investment in audit, traceability, or network security.
@Polymarket If uncle sam wasnt afraid of some other country gaining the upper hand in some kinda mineshaft gap situation, a regulator could, you know, ensure unencrypted passwords weren't just laying around on company servers.
@FoxNews Honestly, the guy has been addled with dementia for a long time now, but the clips circulating aren't anything like some smoking gun of yellow journalism. This kind of reporting is lazy and soft and overtly biased. Biden has done more than enough to find a gotcha moment. Work.
@CharlieKNews Easy idea people, since we won't evidently learn from Europe or anywhere else:
1) ID to vote
2) national holiday for election to allow provision of contemporary hardship ballots and ensure full enfranchisement.
3) 10% of all political spend goes to watchdog.
4) Paper ballots
@TheDankAmerican @SenSanders It isn't surprising at all. They robbed the guy because he had integrity. One can disagree entirely with a person, right or wrong, but it's always clear what good faith looks like.
@thedrivenman There's a weird case where both of them prolly have a little regret.
That said, regret is a controllable symptom with sufficient money and ketamine.
But jokes aside, even if it didn't work out, this is a master class on being adult, and remembering you once loved somebody.
@townhallcom I find it amazing that even after getting your ass handed to you by a person almost nobody likes, of all things introspection turns out to be the thing beyond the pale.
I'm amazed at the restraint.
@elon_docs I love the ethos but it had a simpler explanation.
When news became an activity done for profit, we fell off a cliff. And when the profit possible enlarged unconscionably... well, it would seem everyone will trade their integrity for the right price.
@FischerKing64 The defence of free speech is only meaningful when you don't agree with what is said.
- the democratic party I grew up with, once upon a time
@tomselliott Once, I remember there was something called irony, called satire. But it was replaced by a very old ally it didn't see coming. And then it became simply hypocrisy.
