As a school, I don't think you can focus on "belonging." It's an outcome of other variables like
Calm corridors
Robust behaviour policy
Eliminating bullying
Every student answers a question every lesson
Clubs
Etc
Its like "have high expectations", yes, but HOW
Just so unbelievably proud to work at @totteridgeacad.
I'm reasonably confident it's the best school in the country, and I'm so glad Ofsted have recognised the hard work of Chris, the wider leadership team and the amazing teachers and students.

What do you do for pupils who have missed lessons due to being absent?
Do you give extra work, catch up work, direct them somewhere etc? What does it look like?
Would appreciate RTs for a wider range ๐
Delighted to now be taking bookings for visit days in Spring and Summer terms ๐ช

Another year of being sat for 6 hours on a hard stool being read to from a PowerPoint that was too small to actually read with far too much text and too many GIFS๐ฉ I know that there are better ways to do this. Come on education.
My school has implemented SLANT and a rigorous behaviour policy. Itโs a culture shock, but the difference is night and day.
Suddenly quality teaching and high expectations are a pleasure, and not draining.
Great stuff ๐
